Sony RDR-HXD860

Hello,

I am looking to buy the Sony RDR-HXD860 DVD HDD Recorder but have noticed some posts a few years ago saying that there were some problems with the firmware.

Is this a problem now or have previous updates now solved any major problems?
How reliable is this model and is it a good buy?

People post when there's a problem, so it's no surprise to see lots of negative posts. Why post if everything is OK.

Do a bit more research and see if those software issues were resolved.
