^ The Monologues recently, from what I've seen. have been getting longer and the middle segment (Top 10 normally) isn't as long as it was.
The change at the start of the show from "The greatest city in the world" is strange. |

I loved the Louis CK interview (even if most of the jokes were recycled from the show I saw him do in London!)
I think they may have just thought it was time for a change regarding the show's introduction. "From the greatest city in the world" came in just after 9/11, before that Alan used to say "From New York..." and then make a joke about the city, usually referencing rats! I do wish they'd make use of 'Big Red' a bit more often, some of my favourite Late Show moments have been involving Kalter. |

Speaking of opening titles:
1980s Late Night titles (with the World Trade Center featured and a rare bit of "talkback" before they went on air at the start) - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kAfNUuGkSOI 1990s Late Show titles - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yRUzkunO-ks And you don't get things like this anymore: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zBlL23pWR4k Agreed about "Big Red" as well! He has the best segments: Kaltershank Redemption (nice ITV4 clip!) - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WwPzlhCQrx0 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gfh6TfNejiM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LkWZLKu_6-E http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BZbNzEu3esQ |

Brand new titles for the Late Show have aired since Monday!
http://www.latebyte.nl/viewarticle.php?article_id=162 I haven't had a chance to see them in full yet and can't find them on YouTube at all. With money spent on new titles could this suggest Dave will extend his CBS contract beyond next year? |

Just seen it. Very nice! Nice new camera angles being used when Dave comes out for the monologue too.

Yeah ... not really a good idea to post download links to what is effectively pirated copyright material!

An intriguing response from TLC UK on their Facebook page when I asked them if they were going to air the Late Show:
