Well not me! I'm loving having Late Night with Jimmy Fallon on UK screens.

Is there a CNBC contact address where I can voice my approval?

That'll be the first time Max Weinberg's been drumming in that particular NBC studio since Conan O'Brien left his
old "Late Night With ... " role to take over from Jay Leno for an ill-fated 7 month stint hosting the Tonight Show.

#pendantrycorner..

Fallon is in a different studio to the old 'Late Night w/Letterman & O'Brien' studio.

He is now in the old WNBC4 news studio (6B) whereas Dave and Conan's Late Night used to come from next door (6A)

Very true, Letterman's and Conan's old studio, 6A, is now home to the Dr Oz show.

Fallon comes from 6B, which does have a bit of television history though, it was home of The Tonight Show before it moved to LA many, many years ago.

An interesting little piece of history:

http://youtu.be/xqS8piirvTE

A New York special of Noel's House Party from the 1990s filmed at the Ed Sullivan Theatre in the same studio as the Late Show.

I'd be interested how they converted this for Noel's House Party considering the Late Show would have been on-air at the time (this aired in 1997 and the Late Show debuted in 1993).

They must have had a week of reruns and took down the whole Late Show set and replaced it with the temporary NHP set.

An interesting watch nonetheless.

Thanks for this. Having seen Letterman in 2006 it was interesting to see the set in a different context (also the Hasselhoff bit at the end -a good reminder of queuing up there, and a brief sign advertising Letterman above the cafe.) Somehow the magic of seeing the Letterman set for the first time and thinking this was where the Beatles played was somewhat diminished by the sight of Noel Edmonds but there you go. I would quite like someone to be able to match up the space where Robert de Niro acted in Taxi Driver to to the theatre as it now is.

I don't think the Late Show set was taken down. It looks more like Noel's NY House Party set was put up in front of it.
The only bits of the usual Late Show set, that look to have been removed were Dave's desk, the guest chairs and the
podium they're usually placed on. A fake NY backdrop was placed behind the fake window were the desk usually is.

The talk shows episode of The Story Of Light Entertainment from a few years ago is being repeated on BBC Four tonight.

Well worth a watch - lots of archive footage of Letterman, Leno, etc.

If you can't catch it live, watch it on iPlayer!
