Which requires the use of a VPN like Hotspot Shield, or one of the many unreliable proxy servers out there!
Obviously, just thought i'd mention the site as I have just watched the show.

Letterman must be short of guests, zzzzz!

I hardly think having Boris Johnson as a guest means Letterman is short of guests. Boris is the elected mayor of a
city that's about to host the Olympics, seven weeks from tomorrow ... I'd say that makes him a very worthy guest.

Boris on Letterman was shown on Daybreak on ITV1 this morning.

I'll watch the full episode later.

There was a full page in the Evening Standard tonight.

Can't wait to watch the interview - sounds pretty funny reading the quotes in the ES.

I watched it last night, it was a good interview, but mainly it felt very weird seeing the two of them chatting, I never thought the two would meet.

My favourite line of the whole interview was

I've got it ready for watching this weekend. Seen a couple of clips though but saving the whole interview until I watch the episode.

On a related note, Boris is on The Daily Show on Monday night.

So what do you guys think about this news:

http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/ustv/new...next-year.html

So Arsenio is going to do a daily late night talk show on CBS from the Autumn. Is anyone else puzzeled about how they are going to do this? Letterman has 11:30pm, Ferguson has 12:30am, and I can’t see Arsenio taking a 1:30am slot. The nightly news is at 11pm, and anything before that is prime time, and I can’t see CBS putting a daily talk show in prime time after what happened at NBC with Leno.

What does everyone think?

To answer my own query… I’ve done some research, it appears that its CBS Corp. developing the new Arsenio Hall late night show, not CBS the network (CBS Corp. obviously own CBS the network).

The new show will by syndicated, much like Arsenio’s old show 20 years ago for those of you who remember, and lets CBS offer a new late-night program to stations with other affiliations, including Fox and CW. It’ll be airing at 10 pm or 11pm and is expected to be available to half of Americas viewing public.

Its an interesting move, particularly as CBS are partly responsible for killing Arsenio’s old show (when they signed Letterman in 1993 he took Arsenio’s slot on a load of CBS stations). It could be the start of CBS looking for a replacement for when Letterman retires. Or it could be a total rating disaster, after all he’ll be competing with either primetime dramas at 10pm or the established successes of The Daily Show and Conan at 11pm and overlapping with Letterman and Leno at 11:30pm.

The Best of Conan in Chicago

I’ve been watching Conan’s week of shows in Chicago over the last few days, I’m not sure if they are quite as good as his week of New York shows last year but I do always enjoy it when Conan goes on the road and out on the streets.
For those interested, here are what I think were the best bits:

I recommend everyone has a listen to Dave's interview on Alec Baldwin's radio show above! Very interesting!

Also on a late night talk show UK note, The Daily Show is coming to Comedy Central Extra in July!

Not sure if anyone is still checking this thread as I seem to be the only one posting here recently...

I was on holiday in NYC - got back on the weekend - and got to see another Late Show taping!

I went to the Jake Gyllenhaal & Sharon Osbourne show (the Monday 27th August episode).

It was superb - I was in the balcony on the band's side (I have in the past only been on the floor) which made a nice change. I'm also in the audience sweep (at the end of the sweep) if you look closely!

I got a sneeky picture of the set after the taping, got my photo with Rupert in the Hello Deli and a picture with Biff outside the Deli!

I will be uploading all my pictures and a trip report as soon as I can (probably this weekend).

Conan @ The Late Show - 17th May 2012

For those of you that might be a few months behind with Letterman and haven't yet seen Conan O'Brien's
appearance on The Late Show With David Letterman back in May, or if you would like to see the entire
interview again, I've uploaded the interview to YouTube in full ... and in 720p high definition ... !

Part 1 - 11mins 13secs . . . Part 2 - 6mins 57secs . . . Part 3 - 5mins 37 secs

I’ve just got back from the US too, Hawaii though not NYC, but I did get to watch all the late night talk shows though which was nice.
Letterman was on at 10:30pm out there which meant I got to watch all the other shows too and not have to stay up too late! In fact, the cable channels seemed to be of the Pacific Time feed (Hawaii is 3 hours behind the West Coast), so I got to see Conan and The Daily Show/The Colbert Report at 8pm.

I was out there when the news broke that Jimmy Kimmel Live was moving to 11:35pm on ABC. It made all the national news shows out there so they clearly anticipate it changing the late night landscape. Interestingly Nightline actually gets a lot more viewers than Jimmy Kimmel Live but brings in a lot less revenue because of the type of people that watch it.
So what do others in this thread think about the move? How will it impact Leno and Letterman? Are ABC getting ready for when they retire by having a younger host as an alternative?
What I also noticed while I was out there was how much NBC is raising Jimmy Fallon’s profile, including having a new sitcom from him starting this season. Could they be getting ready to severely fast track him to The Tonight Show when Leno actually really leaves?

JUST ANNOUNCED: President Barack Obama will visit the "Late Show"
on Tuesday, September 18th at 11:35pm ET/PT.

The official press release from CBS linked from the Late Show's Facebook page seems to be geo-IP restricted
to the US only, for some rather stupid pointless reason. Blocking full episodes on CBS.com I can understand for
certain copyright reasons, but geo-IP restricting a press release to the US only makes no damn sense at all!

Meanwhile, I've got about 3 weeks worth of Dave and Conan shows to catch up on!

Great stuff - Obama should be excellent.

I'm not sure when it happened but the official site has got a new look - www.cbs.com/lateshow - still no full episode streaming for outside the US though unfortunately.
