I don't wanna hear all this "yea but music is subjective" nonsense, there is such a thing as universally bad music in some cases and if you like this song then you have incredibly bad taste.

Just another unoriginal, uninspired, manufactured R+B/pop song by another, unoriginal, uninspiring, manufactured singer.
Now watch as it gets to number 1. |

It's awful - but will undoubtedly chart highly because folk lap up this kind of generic pap nowadays.

i don't like it. it did sound quite exciting at first - when compared to the soppy depressing ballads that the other X Factor puppets have churned out in recent years. i expected another one of those so it did seem refreshing in that way when i first heard it.
but beneath all that, and on it's own, it does sound like some really bad karaoke song! especially the chorus - unbelievably cheesy. and the lyrics are so cheap and gimmicky (all of which can also be said about the new JLS song). i so hope Robbie beats it to no.1. although with a new Michael Jackson single apparently due for release the same day they could both be comfortably beaten. |

To be honest, I've only heard the song once and I hated it. Haven't heard it since so I dunno if that's a blessing or what?

I told someone she will flop after the first album. They disagreed with me as they said flo rider (or whoever that may be) is working with her.
Personally i think its crap myself. |

It is unashamedly cheesy but I think Alexandra has the charisma to just about pull it off. Saying that, I hope she has better songs lined up for her album.

But unequivocally true! There's really no excuse for liking it, it's fast food, mass produced crap! Made to shift units, not for people to admire the musical genuis.
And who are you to say what music people can and cannot like. I think you will find people who do like this type of music, do so for exactly the reasons you state. Just easy listening. |

Or is it now my turn to say ''just who do u think u are yadda''Confusing or what! |

I quite like it, not what I expected her to come out with and hate the video, but I can't stop singing it.

Some people clearly have a vendetta against X Factor artists in general. This song is not bad, its actually very very good.
Just because its not YOUR taste in music doesn't mean you need to go around slagging it off and being generally nasty about an artist who has worked hard to get where she is. Its also funny to see how none of you have revealed your own tastes in music because I'm sure many people would slag off the music you like. The posters on this thread need to grow up and stop being so infantile and negative and accept different people make different types of music. At the end of the day its her time and effort thats been invested in to this song and we should be proud that we have another very good singer to represent us, theres no reason to dislike her and criticise her just because you don't like it. Most of you could never sing like that anyway so you really have no reason to be so nasty and should just appreciate her talent instead. |

You're right, I can't sing as well as her but so what! I don't see what point you're trying to make. I'm not as funny as Katy Brand but I still find her TV show a pile of sh*t, and ITV deludes itself in thinking there were any ''best bits''. I'm not as cheap & slutty as Katie Price but I still think she's a dirty slapper! |

Most of the posters in this particular forum are very snobbish towards pop music. Just because it's in the charts, doesn't mean you can slate it.
There's a reason it's pop - because it's popular. |

![]() Do I have to be somebody in particular to say that? What are the requirements?I'll reiterate it, that song is bad taste in music. It's not an attack against pop music, it's simply saying that particular song is sh*t! Maybe it should be me saying ''who are you to tell me what I'm allowed to think is bad taste'' |
