Sugababes - Do you still care?
Doesn't the departure of Keisha really expose what a farse the whole thing is? They just get their songs written for them anyway - they can be added to the 'in' pile for Girls Aloud and The Saturdays, surely?

Amen.
I have said from the start (well, when Heidi joined) that the Sugababes have been nothing but music industry whores designed to make as much money as possible. There is clearly nothing but money involved here, otherwise I'm sure they'd have called it a day when Mutya left. I just wish everyone would leave Siobhan out of it because she was the only decent one

Looking at the songwriting credits they do seem to have written less and less each album. Which is a great shame. Heidi clearly cannot be bothered to write lyrics.

Do I still care? I never cared as they are manufactured paff as is 90% of 'popular' music.
Now, I can see the headline about Joe Perry saying Aerosmith aren't splitting up. Ah yes, Aerosmith a band that has written and played it's own music and has for nigh on 40 years. Steve Tyler has more talent in his little finger than the Sugarbabes have or could ever hope to have. Ok, rant over. Listen to what you want but also realise that bands like the Sugarbabes, Saturdays etc. are not musicians but corporate inventions whose whole purpose is to make money. |

Honestly? I don't know. I've been a big fan of theirs since Overload. I've grown up with the Sugababes - heck, they've been in my life longer than some of my closest friends! - but this whole sorry mess has almost tainted their music and all the good memories I have of the band.

I only ever liked Overload, and the new song is dire. I coldn't give two hoots if they split up or not.

I cant give them the time of the day now
Its too odd that one of the best UK girl groups of this decade has a completely new lineup, Amelle and Jade will be getting credit for the hard work Heid/Keish and Mutya all put in to get themselves where they are now They are no longer the sugababes I will be curious how jades voice fits into the group but as for being an active fan, i think they've lost me |
