What's encouraging about calling someone a "drunken rag doll"?

That wasn't the right thing to come out with - it was a personal comment

*Sighs* Posting on this old thread was not a good move if you wanted to make a nice comment about Alesha.

Come on now, that's not true - people were moaning about your new threads all being based around the same subjects.

Imagery like that is often used in sports critiquing. I've been called far worse by my riding instructor and I find it really helpful as it gives a good image of what the body is doing i.e loose arms, weak frame and probably swaying slightly.

But it could have been phrased better - perhaps say something like - you lost control of your body. Wouldn't theat have sounded a bit better

Well by opening a new thread about Alesha and how I thought she had improved as a judge against the policy when there was already plenty of other threads on here to discuss this issue

I am even more confused now.Plz explain more?

You are right in thinking you shouldn't really start a new thread, if there is a already a current thread on a subject, but this thread had been dead for for nearly a month, so you could probably have started a new thread - there is no hard and fast rule about how old a thread should be though - somebody will moan no matter what you do so you do need to develop a thick skin on here! The Mods will soon tell you if you are breaking the T&Cs. My problem with you reviving this particular thread, is just that this thread was originally pretty anti-Alesha and you wanted to say something positive, so it might have been better to choose an old thread that was more positive or start a new one. Either way Alesha as a judge is such a divisive subject on here, someone would moan. Stick around and you'll soon learn how it works and don't worry about it.

Having actually typed it out yourself you'll have noticed that I posted that in MARCH, months before Alesha actually was approached to do Strictly. At THAT point she HAD told me that there was no truth in it. It was months later when they actually asked her. I'd appreciate you not picking my old posts out and making it look like I'd commented on recent events.

A truly strange idea that she will return to do the choreography. How could she do the detail for 16 dances? How do you supervise someone elses choreography if its not a non job? You could argue that would mean that some people were not disadvantaged by their pros making things too hard or egtting it wrong. On the other hand how could you have a situation where Arlene was deciding who got steps they couldn't step or music that didn't fit or a character that wasn't them. Its either a non job or its a (to quote Craig) dizarstir waiting to happen. Imagine Craig, Len or Alesha criticising Arlene's choreography, Brendan reacting to being given steps for Jo she can't do , Joe being given a proper routine , Nathalie being given Ali's routines or RickyG getting something like Ricky Ws.........

All I want explained to me is, how on earth do you repair an image when there's no material to work with?

It sounded more like a shockingly spiteful and demeaning insult rather than a critical comment.
