Alison hits Hollywood!

Well, sort of. I noticed she's got herself a substantive gig on ITV1 1200-1230 all week covering the Oscars run-up for This Morning.

And that's on top of recent primetime with Celeb Fat Club.

Crikey. She was practically the first evicted from bb3, for pete's sake. To think I had spent - wasted - ££s to get her off my TV, I shouldn't have bothered.

If you'd ask me just after BB3, who would be on tv regularly 2 years on, hobnobbing in Hollywood, etc, I'd have thought Alex or Kate... but Alison?! How does she do it? Is she the most successful BB/3 contestant, tv career wise?

I suppose it's great news for her fans though.

Don't forget Alison was already a pro and had an Equity card before even entering the BB house. So like fellow BB3 Equity-holder actor Jonny, Alison was an actor using the BB experience to enhance her career and it worked.

I remember the equity card issue being a big thing way back when, both Alison and Jonny said it in a conversation once and it made my blood boil. The producers had said that year they werent looking for Media wannabes etc., so it was a kick in the face to know that those two, the biggest performers in the house were actually equity card holders. It was at that point i felt like i was watching a scripted soap.

but even "performers " have their own character-and those two have been consistent throughout BB3 and in the years since.
they were by far the most interesting people in the house-along with Kate of course.
and I think you need an equity card for pretty much any media type work.

I was always disappointed that Alison went - my favourite from BB3. I think she was far less fales than people make out. I mean, has she been any different on any other programmes? NO!

I can't say that she was my favourite as she went too early on, but i would have liked to see more of her, as I always felt that after the producers got over only showing the stereotyped 'fat, black, full-of-fun' persona there was the potential for more. I think that she has proved it in subsequent performances - she is full of life, and entertaining. Good luck to her.

She is a true superstar-no doubt about it.

Did they ever resolve the suspicious voting at the time?
(The wierd thing for me was that Sandy should have been a certainty to go but apparently it was Alex v Alison and mighty wierd things went on apparently)
