Can't help with the Masterplug box but before you buy checkout Lektropacks:- www.lektropacks.co.uk
I bought a Trilogy 1 from them (more expensive than the Masterplug mind you) and it is excellent. They have quite an extensive range at all sorts of prices.

I have been using the Masterplug autoscart switch for nearly 2 weeks with some mixed results! The device does not always pick up the device you want to use and it is safer to only physically switch on the device that you need. It appears to have real problems when using my freeview box, on initial installation I had to switch the scart cable to another socket to stop the picture stuttering (this appeared to be picking up the change of strength in the signal coming through) the switch flicks to the next device and then back again. You might also find the blue lcd's annoying. Hope this is of some use

I have used the masterplug scart lead for a week, and thought my original was faulty as it cant cope with white or very bright screens, picture rolls and jitters, so i took it back to Argos and got another, unfortunately the same, so my advice is DONT buy it, there must be a bad batch that over amplifies the video signal.
