Has anyone bought fake Louboutins?
Christa

I've neve bought a fake designer bag. But I am getting tempted by the numerous Louboutin sites.

Has anyone bought a pair & what was the quality like - any good?

I've had a good trawl through these as only 1 of them has the boots I want and I needed a picture To be very honest at the prices they want the boots would have to be bloody fantastic copies for me to spend over £120 on fakes. I'm quite interested if anyone has bought some too.

IMHO it doesnt matter how good a fake your fake is - it's still a fake. No-one else might spot it, but you'll always know its not genuine and you'll never be able to carry/wear it with pride.

Not for me personally.

that is exactly how id feel, and id probably think i am projecting the fact that i know its fake onto others so they will probably know!

Yeh that's how I feel. They'd have to be mirror image replicas & indistinguishable from the real thing or I wouldn't want to go there. At £100+ you'd expect good quality shoes - but how accurate are they - that's the question.

I do wonder whether the photos on the fake Loub websites - are of genuine Loub's & what they actually send you something a bit shoddier.

I don't personally buy into the whole wear a label with pride nonsense, I can't imagine being proud of something for its brand. Either it's nice or it's not. I've had enough labely things for them not to impress me & to know they're not always particularly good quality.

However - I'd agree there's a particular social shame associated with wearing an obvious fake. So - only if a fake was indistiguishable from the real thing would I give it a go.

Buy yourself some decent leather stilleto boots or pumps from somewhere like Nine West (import them from the US) and paint the soles red!

Or just save better.

But you want Louboutins & don't want to pay the price?

Either way, if I want something I buy it. If it means saving up, I do it . I simply don't do fake, and not for anyone else's benefit, but for my own.

I agree, tbh my belief on fakes is that, if you wanna spend a small fortune on a fake, why not spend that small fortune on a nice high street brand instead?

I don't subscribe to buying fake items. People in the know, will know that you're wearing fake. If I can't afford to buy the real thing I'll just do without.

So do I.

I would never spend so much on fakes either - I'd rather have high street shoes for £100 odd.

Not sure what you're after - an actual counterfeit or a high street copy perhaps complete with red soles? Either way I'm not sure they'd be as comfortable as the real deal - I've never tried them but my mother has tried on Louboutins and they're apparently extremely light and soft. I nearly bought some Jimmy Choos once which were very soft and comfortable compared to either heels I've worn.

I buy what I like and that doesn't necessarily translate to expensive designerwear...which often looks tacky anyway, cue Chanel handbags - eeeeuw!

Thus I don't buy fakes either...which feeds the sheep 'expensive, branded, designer goods are always best' mentality/notion.

Sorry but this "I don't do fakes" is 100% chav. I know you're trying to make yourself sound classy but that's not the way.

I'm not asking for your opinion of fakes peeps, simply if anyone on here has bought a pair of good Louboutin replicas. If you haven't, then move on.

There's no reason I couldn't save up for them. But I'm not spending £800 on a pair of boots I'll only wear a handful of times, because I think it's a waste.

Lol, people are giving their opinions on your OP, some of which will be helpful to you, some not but that's the nature of a public forum, I'm afraid. However, it's not up to you to censor what people say just because it's not what you want to hear.

There's only one chav in here...

Rude much.

In your humble opinion of course.

I'm not trying to be classy, and quite frankly I don't care much what you think. I buy what I like, be it designer, or be it 2nd hand from a flea market.

In answer to your OP I have never bought fakes because I'd rather have the real thing. The quality of a fake, no matter how good it looks, always falls short.

If you like the fakes, buy them. If they make you feel good, then great.

Perhaps you could do what you do with your handbags and buy the real thing from an ebayer who hasn't worn them? But then I guess you wouldn't be guaranteed they won't be fake either.

In short, it's about personal choice. Me, I'd start saving.

There's a common belief that designer stuff has some miraculous quality. It's not actually true. I've had designer stuff that looked great but fell apart. There are many designer bags - Chloe & Mulberry are good examples - that are not very good quality to the point that the real thing can look like fakes. I don't know why people think they're anything special. Even Chanel handbags aren't the quality I'd expect.

It's precisely my disapproval of the general quality of designer handbags that makes me stick with LK Bennett & Russell & Bromley.

It is about personal choice, indeed. I made mine clear in the OP & have not asked for anyone's opinion on it. I certainly didn't ask for self-righteous posturing on the subject of wearing fakes - simply if anyone had experience of fake Louboutins.

Er, yes you have. If you post an OP on a public forum, FMs are going to possibly give you direct answers to your questions which meet with your approval but definitely give their opinions. What part of that do you not get?

If you only want people who are gonna blow smoke up your @rse to reply, may I suggest this isn't the place for you.

My question was for anyone who had bought fake Louboutins to give their opinion on the quality. At no point did I ask for posters' opinions of the buying of fakes, in which I'm simply not interested.

It's perfectly reasonable for the OP to ask posters to stick to the title, rather than going off on irrelevancies.

No idea why you think a question about the quality of some shoes is a request for smoke, but that's your problem.
