Me too

All a bit artificial. They obviously decided who was best and gave him 33 or whatever and they then threw out a lot of 7s and 8s so they had at least 4 people who were all getting 30s as a big following pack. Partly because of that and partly because they seem to have avoided giving higher or lower marks they didn't distinguish between the people on 30s which I think was probably very doable.

As it was you who asked Sid.......

I thought it was quite a 'pretty' waltz but it didn't move me at all.

Tuffers' was great but, being very shallow, I enjoyed Ricky's more.

I think Laila is stunning and I loved that tango

And I appreciate your reply AD x x x

I think Laila's Tango was very captivating. She could be very good.

Happy to oblige

You probably have a heart of stone. It was beautifully choreographed. There were all the elements of a good waltz. Rise and fall, heel leads (though Phil did better in this respect), the rounde plus standing spin (which he did with precision). Did twice as many pivots as Phil did and looked miles better.

The beginning and the end was a masterstroke of genius (choreography, of course, plus executed well), because Ricky seems strong enough to let Natalie drop and then raise her up again smoothly and naturally, giving a very musculine, yet romantic feel.

Phil did the basic waltz step in the beginning, had two and half pivots in the middle, dancing basically in straight line (with rise and fall nevertheless) and ended simply. Choreographically it was a MUCH simpler waltz than Ricky's. No doubt it was choreographed that way to showcase Phil's ability and he has loads more natural charm than Ricky (who looked nervous at times, no doubt the difficult choreography didn't help), and he did it well. But to say Phil was better than Ricky overall, you must be joking.

30?

Two marks too many in my opinion.

Loved Natalie (how can Alesha justify scoring Lynda's Tango higher?), Laila (although not sure I've warmed to her as a person yet) and Tuffers (even though he annoys the hell out of me sometimes!).”

I would give it a 5 so 20 in total

It was quite good. Not outstanding. Better than about two-thirds of the other contestants.

I thought it was.... average!

And although 'okay' did not hold my attention....

I thought it was given a mark or two too much. Should have been below Laila and on par with Phil.

I thought Zoe was nice but lost a little of the smooth flow at times (likely due to tension related nerves).

I liked it, but it didn't WOW me and I was surprised at the marks. But what do I know?

I agree.

Good but not as good as Ali last week or Lailia last night.

Thought it was mildly overmarked myself, didn't really captivate me - much preferred Laila's tango (although I agree about the dress possibly hiding bad footwork) which really captured the spirit of the dance IMO. Ricky was clearly the best, although I'm not 'feeling' him as yet - Tufferes, like Chris, was a very pleasant surprise

I thought it was slightly overmarked because then I thought back to Ali's last week and that just seemed much more natural and flowy whereas there was a little bit of nervousness and awkwardness to this one. Don't get me wrong, I thought it was good and she definitely deserves to be safe but Ali = 30 compared to Zoe = 30 doesn't seem to balance to me. I'm not going to do a comparison to Laila so much because they both did completely different dances

Good dance but, as people have noted, not a 30 if Ali's was a 30. Zoe 28 or 29.

ali's was no better. i loved this dance. im sure she will wow us with her rumba tonight !

I would be hard pushed to say which dance I enjoyed best last night ,it would be between Zoe and Ricky both great for a first dance, but I thought they were both just a tad overmarked.

I didn't really like it, (even for a first week dance) they didn't seem to glide like I would expect to see from the waltz. Both Tuffers and Ricky's were a LOT better.

I just hope this isn't going to be a case of "over-marking" to keep the "rivalry" between the two ex-footballers wives going!

And that's rather rude. If you disagree with my view, that's fine by me, but why not just say so politely and perhaps explain why?

I think it was aimed at Bhoy1888 who said it was worth 20, but your post went in just before rickster's (they were both timed at 00:04). Why people use ^^^^^^^^ when quoting is so easy I don't know.

I liked it very much but thought Laila deserved to be slightly ahead of her on the leaderboard.

That may be but at least Zoe's footwork looked proper for the waltz. We can't see a damn thing with Laila's dress in the tango. She might as well tiptoed through the dance (joking) and we would never have known.

I really liked Phil's waltz as well and thought he was a bit hard done by to get lower marks than Zoe

I was surprised by Len's enthusiasm for Zoe & James's waltz, because they faffed about so much at the start. It looked like they only really started waltzing halfway though an already short dance. I felt like James was being very sneaky with that choreography, and I felt cheated that no judge picked up on it.
