Songs where the intro is by far the best part
Not just a thread about great intros, but where the intros are great but the rest of the song is a bit of a let-down, inspired by Mini Viva's Left My Heart In Tokyo, love the Japanese-y sound and then the disco bass drop, but think the song is a bit meh..
Tina Moore's Never Let You Go and Mariah Carey's Honey both for me great, make you sit up and take notice intros followed by average songs, any other suggestions? |

Girls Aloud - Sexy! No No No
It is a good song, don't get me wrong, but the intro electro-techno-autotune bit is genuinely AMAZING. I love it. |

Where The Street Have No Name-- U2. Simply amazing and still the best live song I've ever heard.Sheer adrenaline rush every time
![]() http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ogN5gdbJwkA I don't really take much notice of intros if the song isn't catchy enough to keep my attention the whole way through. |

Love the beginning of "Plug In Baby" by Muse... the rest of the song just bores me though!

Famously, Spaceman by Babylon Zoo
I think it had the biggest first week sales of any single ever (or something like that) after the intro was featured in a Levis add, then PLUMMETED out of the charts as the actual song was NOTHING like the introduction http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t_9MI2ymN6s |

Only recently heard it, but Sails of Charon by Scorpions. The intro is brilliant, and then it goes downhill with some ricockulous overblown lyrics. Quote:

New York - Paloma Faith. Although the intro is repeated as the outro too.

Get Back - The Beatles, the rest of the song is good, but no where near as good as that build up

Gimme More 'It's Britney Bitch' - Britney Spears
for me it's the best intro for a comeback plus everyone who went to tour went crazy just by hearing that line. |
