Does it seem to anybody else that she thinks she's better than she actually is?

I was actually quite looking forward to seeing her and felt bad for all the stick that she's getting for her size etc. but after watching her over the weekend I've gone off her.

She wasn't fantastic but stated that she should have got more points. I don't know, something doesn't sit right anymore.

Yep I noticed that last night. Her VT put me right off her.

I can't warm to the girl, can't put my finger on why though.

Exactly, I was really looking forward to seeing her dance but when she said on her first VT that she was 'in it to win it' with a really serious expression on her face, I went right off her. Not very humble.

I found her more likeable than I expected but my heart sank when she practically demanded more points. I love that she wants to win it, but saying that they should have given her a higher score was wrong.

If she was Chocolate she would eat herself and yet she has nothing going for her.

I agree with the fact that it wasnt good when she said she should have had more points, but this is just a bit silly.

In my opinion, good on her for saying she's there to win. Whats the point in putting yourself through that so you can lose. They should all be there to win, so I think its a good attitude to have.

I think she thinks she's better than what she actually is. At least that's how it's come across to me. In the interview bit outside after the dance she said something like she was disappointed in the comments and scores and that she didn't know what the judges had been watching as she'd given it 110%.

I really wanted her to do well but that put me off a bit.

Please dont say my opinion is silly. I dont like it when celebs go in it to win it, they should go on it for the experience.

The way I see it is, look at Ricky Whittle. Clearly he is an extremely talented dancer for a celeb, but in all his VT's and on the show, he is humble and doesnt expect praise and more points. He probably is in it to win it as they all are, but he (and a lotof the others) are also in it for the experience of learning to dance and having a good time. There is being in it to win but being humble and not demanding more points at the same time. Its about attitude and I dont like hers.

I'm of the opposite opinion.

I'm finding myself liking Natalie more than I initially thought I would.

She's full of enthusiasm and determination. And it could have been so easy for her to feel self-conscious after all the press attention her weight has received. But she doesn't seem to give two hoots and I applaud her attitude.

I don't blame her for being a little cheesed off with her Tango scores. I thought she deserved a couple of 7s as well.

Natalie is lovely and I don't think she comes across as arrogant at all. Hopefully she will do well.

Let's be honest, with 16 celebs, 15 of them aren't going to win, so I agree it would have been better for her to say she wanted to try her best or something like that, and hope to stay the course instead of complaining about her points and being so serious about the whole thing. Let's face it, she's getting paid and getting her mug on the telly for probably a few weeks as well!!

Ricky is very talented, but if you read his interview in the Radio Times, he wasn't quite as humble. About Nathalie, don't see anything wrong with her at the moment (although her constant enthusiasm might get too much after a while).

PS: I still agree that Ricky is a fantastic dancer and someone who puts in a lot of work, but I don't think he is humble. It's probably an act for the camera at the moment.

Oh I dont know, the fact he always looks like he's going to puke before he goes out onto the dancefloor doesnt make him come across as someone arrogant, lol! And the way he doesnt take any credit for his performance and constantly praises Natalie, he just comes across as a nice guy.

Im not hating on Natalie, I was really hoping she's do well. But there have been few little points along the way where she just comes across a bit arrogant. Maybe its nerves and she' ll chill out soon.

Natalie was undermarked in her tango. I was expecting 7's, as was she apparently, she just spoke her mind about it. I like her atitude of really trying, shame she lost her nerve in the cha cha. Also I like her positivity about being a 'curvy' girl. A lot of us girls could learn a thing or two from her.

I didn't actually say that he was arrogant though. I said he wasn't quite as humble as another poster made him out to be. As I said, he is a very good dancer and he will go far.

It's understanable that she'd be a bit peeved if she felt that she'd given it 110% and only received a bunch of 6s.

She'll learn that it takes more than that to do well, having said that if she hadn't danced first she may have had a couple of 7s in the mix.

She'll learn too that a lot of the audience don't like people who seem too ambitious and needs to keep her killer desire to succeed hidden behind a innocent/cheeky/lovable/smiley/humble exterior

I too am curious. Do you have a link to the interview? I found this one but, it's more about pictures and a paragraph rather than an in-depth interview. Mind you the pictures are good.

I thought I would like Natalie, but after her first 2 dances I've gone off her a bit. She may have given her tango 110% but she wasn't sitting where I was and watching her on Friday I wouldn't have given her 7s or 8s.

Think she needs to lose the slight edge of desperation and remember that the GBP don't usually take to anyone who seems to be trying too hard.

I agree. I thought her scores were perfectly right. She said in her VT she wanted 7s and 8s. No way. Her Tango was dull and steps were messed up. Then again, I can't stand Vincent either, so I'm just totally against that partnership.

A lot of people on this forum are Vincent fans though, so be careful!

"Curvy"? Is that what you call it these days? Where was that positivity when she brought out the fitness DVD? Fact is I agree with the OP. She's not likeable in the way, for example, Tuffers is, and she isn't capable of being sexy in the way people like Leila are. So she won't win and pushing for points is pretty arrogant

i think her confidence is refreshing. I'm sick of watching the celebs with their faux humbleness. (if that's a word)

Why does she keep winking at the camera?

I agree. As she is a fan of the show, it's great to see someone "living the dream"
