contract issue

My mum took out a contact in her name with Virgin, as I am 17. The reason was being at uni, id be in contact with home alot, and PAYG wouldnt really benefit.

The only problem, is at the uni, the coverage is absolutely terrible. We cannot have a decent conversation without the signal dropping completley, and I find I have to re-ring the number several times during the course of the conversation, which is terrible.

The coverage checker listed the coverage as being' good' which seems ok... the coverage I am getting is far from good... its terrible!

The question is, where do we stand on this, and the fact that we are now only 4 month into the contract?

Well, I don't think Virgin will be able to do much. They don't have blanket coverage (well, T-Mobile really as that's who they piggy-back on) and I certainly don't think they will allow you (or rather your mum) out of the contract because of it. You could try though - no harm in that eh?
I'm surprised that the coverage is bad as the mobile networks usually make sure that university campus areas are well serviced due to the potential amount of customers there!

By the way - how have you managed to get into university at 17? I didn't think it was possible, but as i've never been I can't be 100% sure!

aww thanks for that.

...and to answer your question, I'm from scotland, and started primary when I was 4, and thus ended high school at 17
