Scheduled Recordings Disappear & Favourite Channels Problems

Two Strange things I have experienced with my Humax Freesat HDR any help would be appreciated.
1. The Bill HD & The Fixer HD both on ITV London disappear off the schedule and I have put them in at least four times now, yet Coronation street off UTV, remains set OK.
2. When you hit the info button it always shows a little blue TV symbol bottom right and keeps building up an auto favourite list which is very annoying, so I have to go into the list and chose favourite 1 and OK and then the info bar will show a green favourite instead of the blue TV symbol, you can then use programme up down to flip thru your favourite channels which is great, BUT switch back to standby switch on the next day and I'm back to auto favourite and the blue TV symbol, what am I doing wrong I wonder.

1) Is possibly caused by freesat rescans when changes are made in the channel line up as this is known to delete ITV HD schedules

2) The box just defaults to the non-favourites listing on boot up so I guess the best thing would be to press the ok button or list button, as they both do the same function in this instance, and then press the green button repeatedly untill the particular Favourite category is selected then selecting a channel from the list and pressing ok. This will let you skip through for the duration but will have to be redone each time the box is switched on

Hi thanks for the reply I did ring Humax technical as well, and the HD channels do disappear it is a known problem but it is to do with the broadcaster.
The favourite problem I have may be changed in the next firmware update

No, it's a Humax bug - can't blame ITV for that one.

I said on the phone is it a problem with the receiver and technical said no it’s ITV changing the schedules, which seemed strange to me because the times of The bill for argument sake has not changed, is this an ongoing bug then

When the HDR does a freesat scan to update its channel list it deletes all the scheduled programs for ITV HD. If you leave the HDR on its own during bootup then you may not notice the HDR scanning and saving the updated channel list when it detects a change in the line-up.

A bug which Humax have acknowledged and should be fixed in the long awaited firmware update however Humax seem to be cramming the genuine updates (which I assume are stable now) and the iPlayer functionality all in one release.

I just hope we haven't got to wait for all the iPlayer testing to be done before the release (and also hope they don't find anything which needs to be fixed which could delay it even more). I also hope the not recording after a power cut issue is fixed.

I think it's pretty certain that we have.

Sounds like the issue I and others have had with their DTT 9200 PVR ever since the last update. Timers random vanish part way through a series even though supposedly they should always last for 13 weeks on Freeview.

It almost completely ruins the PVR-side of the box.

This just gets worse and worse and is getting to be a major worry now.

Humax do not seem to be the most competent of companies at any level and the thought that they may transmit an update that actually makes the PVR functionality of the Foxsat worse is a major concern.

Especially with the way they seem happy to wash their hands of products when it suits them.

Is there any legal recourse if they transmit a mandatory update and it damages the functionality of what was a working box (and don't do anything to rectify the situation in a timely manner)?

This is nothing like the Freeview PVR issue, and trying to create that link is misinforming.

As others have said, it is most likely the deletion of ITV HD Timers due to rescan.

Rgds.

That make sense completely, let’s hop an update will be soon, very little point being able to record HD programmes and then missing them due to the schedule being scrubbed by an update
The power cut issue sounds a pain as well
