According to Metro.co.uk: click here, Arlene, for those who missed her expertise, has this to say:

Scoring Ricky W's Waltz and Rhumba 7 each: "Sex! Sex! Sex!"

On Richard Dunwoody (making horse references): On his Cha Cha Cha it was like Lilia was trotting and he was galloping. But he is a real trier. He was trying to put everything into what he was doing.

On Craig (the predictable...): It was less Coronation Street, more Nightmare on Elm Street.

Any surprise?

Heard it all before ...

All great evidence that SCD is so much better without Arlene.

When I see these comments from Arlene, it makes me glad she's no longer on the panel and Alesha is on it instead. At least what Alesha says is constructive, 'Nightmare on Elm Street' is not a constructive comment.

Arlene would do well to keep it zipped now - she just makes herself sound bitter and resentful. Maybe she is, but she'd do more for her image by saying nothing.

I think Len has a point - at this early stage it's better for morale to give encouraging marks so at least the celebs have some incentive to keep going.

I don't agree with Len at all on tha but given that higher scores were dished out in last years first week, Arelene is talking complete bolloxs and should therefore shut up

Arlene having a go at people over scoring?????

PMSL.

Thats rich coming from someone who gave a total of four sevens all series to the top four.

I certainly feel that the judges are being kinder this series which I prefer. The celebrites are working so hard and to have up to 3 judges ripping your efforts to pieces must be so disheartening.

I think that Arlene took her role far too seriously and I began to dread her comments + her drooling over the male contestents was so embarrassing.

I'm not sure about Alesha yet but Arlene got too big for her boots and I'm sure she must have annoyed many people on the show.

The judges probably thought (and if so, rightly so) that they are now doing TWO dances for week 1, so look more for performance rather than techniques. If so, good for them. But it does make it difficult for them in the subsequent weeks to mark the contestants. For instance, when will they start marking on the techniques? Or for people like Ricky W who got a lot of techniques nailed already at this stage, is he going to get tens flying around him at week 4 or 5 because other contestants had 'performance points' to continue to encourage them?

Someone's bitter! Shut up Arlene. Yes, it's a shame you were axed, and I think you should have stayed. However, you aren't a judge anymore and the other judges can mark the performances as THEY see fit.

I certainly don't miss Arlene's embarrassing aliteration and drooling over the male contestants.

I was initially sorry that Arlene had been replaced but now I am reminded of the level of her comments - sorry, which bit was so much better than anything Alesha said?

Still can't get over her 'sex sex sex!' bit on Ricky. It's 'I want raw sex!' all over again, except this time she can't blame Freudian slip live on TV, but she actually thought it through and decided still to publish her 'thoughts' about Ricky!

I love the look on Matt and Lillia's face at the comment. And it got a good joke out of Brucie!

Got to remember she's writing these comments for a newspaper column.

If she was commenting on the night, she'd have followed up those remarks with some advice about technique or performance. But I doubt the Metro were interested in hearing about heal leads, topline and so on.

Apparently Arlene abandoned alliterations.

Would she? I rather doubt it. There have been many occasions where Arlene did a bitchy put-down and left it at that.

And hilarious that she's complaining that the contestants are being overmarked. What was the score she gave Lisa Snowdon for her utterly mediocre jive, then? Or was that alright because Lisa was one of her favourites?

We have to patiently and eagerly wait for Arlene's comments of the two nights past in the Sun, and lament how we miss her contribution to the show, as the Daily Turd would have us believe...

Where did the 3.5 marks come from? She's invented a new marking system? Couldn't decide between 3 and 4?

She shows why they may have got rid of her - with two people marking like Craig the whole tone is negative. Two judges marking like Len and Bruno going less high to compensate makes it sound more positive and allows Craig to keep on marking where he is if he adds some constructve reasons for his marks.

They've given the average score for the two dances.

See comments for Natalie Cassidy.

I have thought that contestants have been way over marked for the past few series, fours or fives at this point should be seen as good scores, giving high marks at this point leaves them little movement and makes a mockery of the points system.

Does nobody realise what game Arlene is obviously playing, she is trying , subtly to knock the other judges by claiming that she wouldn't have marked so high, then gives a 3.5, well i have never seen a 3.5 on SCD so what was the point in her doing that...

Given that both sets of marks are awarded on the same night, and that each judge marks each couple, it won't make any difference to the overall outcome.

That being the case, why not encourage them in the early weeks, two dances to master per week etc., etc., rather than slate them and knock their confidence?

I still think Len made a good point and if that's how it happens for the first month or so, fine by me.

Umm, Alesha is not constructive. Arlene is not on the panel and clearly her comments would be different if she was still there.

Is "Dancing Quail" constructive?

Is "I just want raw sex" constructive?

Is "You (Kristine) are like Madonna and you (Matt Cutler) like a bored Guy Richie" constructive?

How about "Dancing Pig"?

How about "Austin Healy, you certainly know how to drive a waltz"?

now now SCD Observer - the dancing pig was not made by arlene but by a daily heil journo who is a friend of JOhns

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...Pig--vote.html

as for the other comments well I'm sure it's just as possible to pull out nonsense quotes from any of the judges

I thought I would miss Arlene but actually I don't. I still think the BBC treated her badly but actually as far as SCD goes, I'm not missing her at all.
