as for the other comments well I'm sure it's just as possible to pull out nonsense quotes from any of the judges

I thought I would miss Arlene but actually I don't. I still think the BBC treated her badly but actually as far as SCD goes, I'm not missing her at all.”

Okay, got that wrong about the dancing pig. Gosh, much as I hate Daily Turd, I was still infected by their evil spreading of utter lies.

I do miss Arlene on the panel, I thought her comments about technique were always very enlightening and I loved her "whipped cream on a cappuccino" poetry. I wish they'd given Mr Flagellating-about-on-the-stage Goodman the boot and made her chair instead. Len is a noisesome bore, continually attacking Craig in order to make himself appear fairer. *fumes*

It's hot chocolate and whipped cream! She said that twice. One to Peter Schmichael and Erin, and another time I believe it's between Kenny Logan and Olga.

I certainly miss Arlene and particularly so in view of the replacement.

Lisa and Brendan's jive was amazing, I loved it. Mediocre it was not.

I love her cha-cha but I don't think she deserved perfect 40.

In fairness to Arlene though the Current Bun isn't likely to quote her on the technical aspects of the dancing they're looking for the soundbites.

On Craig (the predictable...): It was less Coronation Street, more Nightmare on Elm Street.

Any surprise?”

Lol! makes me laugh considering what the Alesha's critics on here have been saying about her. By comparison, Alesha seems to be the more professional at judging than Arlene.

But that WAS how she judged the dancers when on the panel of SCD. It was all, like you say, "soundbites", all about male dancers bums mainly.

Arlene was appalling last year. That said, I didn't want her replaced by an amateur. However Alesha is shaping up really well, good on her.

I certainly do!

And I know a lot of other people - on and off here - who do as well ...

Dear God, I've just watched her jive back (I must have repressed it)... she got 33 for that?! I'm a little bit speechless.

I completely agree with both of these posts and Arlene's comments just don't interest me now tbh.

I couldn't agree more.

You have to question her motives for writing this column: obviously she is getting paid, but it just makes her look shallow and bitter.

And why on earth write so many comments that are critical of the show and her other judges for the organisation that has been most vocal about wanting to destroy the BBC? Yes, the same BBC that's still employing her on The One Show and will do so next year on SYTYCD ...

Arlene either has no scruples or she's just lost the plot.
