Anyone here know how to use Media Player Classic that comes with the K-Lite video codec for Windows?

I'm trying to watch "Dead Snow" DVD on my computer and streaming the video to my TV but there are no English subtitles. They are turned on in the DVD's menu and I've added DirectVobSub filter and the icon (green arrow) is on the taskbar it also says subtitles are enabled and set to English but there none on the screen during the film.

At first I thought maybe the picture size was hiding them below the screen but this is not the case.

Windows Media Player 11 plays the film with subtitles but I can't stretch the video to match the widescreen TV, it only plays in extreme letter box format, although I can change the TV's picture size to zoom it in a little I loose picture off the left and right sides.

I'd rather stream it in K-Lite's player so I can stretch the picture size but how do I get the subtitles to work?

Assuming the Home Cinema release of MPC, check the following:

File - Options - Playback - Output.
Ensure that one of the DirectShow video renderers marked with ** is selected - one of the two renderless options is likely to be best. Some of the available renderers do not support internal subtitles. Note that the renderless options need more processing power than the windowed ones, so if you're using a low-powered PC, like a netbook, you may suffer problems with stuttering or sound-sync. In this case, VMR7 (Windowed) is your best choice, but no subtitles will be available.
