Brogues Shoes
Hey guys, hope you're all well and enjoying all the new Autumn collections!
I just wanted to ask some opinions and advice really, see I've been debating on whether or not to buy some Brogues, now I've seen a pair in Dorothy Perkins: http://www.dorothyperkins.com/webapp...5574&langId=-1 Which I think are cute and a decent price. I've never had shoes in this style before and I'd like to go for these, but I'd like your thoughts: a) Do they actually on the whole look orite? b) What should I wear them with? Honest opinions please! BW x |

They are part of a specific style which I couldn't describe, but I think they are cute.

I love brogues OP, got a few pairs myself.
Those ones are lovely. Bit different to the usual one colour ones. They go with most things imo.. the only thing I'd avoid wearing them with are boot cut/flare jeans. Just don't think they go well together. |

Love love love brogues!
Wear them with skinny jeans, a blazer and pearls or with a tea dress and black tights I think they always look great. I have a black pair. |

I really don't like them, I'm sorry! I've tried to like them, I really have, since loads of people are wearing them lately, but they're just too weird-looking to me. It looks like they've nicked their grandad's shoes or something

I've got some jazz pumps which look like brogues but are a lot more flexible, I enjoy prancing around in them, and some white brogues. I tend to put them with black tights and a dress to avoid looking too masculine, but it's all down to what you feel comfortable teaming it with. The ones you posted are gorgeous OP.

Thankyou for all your replies everyone!
I decided to get myself a pair, not the ones in the original link but a pair of nice shiney black ones to play it safe with these being my first pair, I wore them to college today and I was running to my next lesson as I was abit late and I slipped and crashed straight into a wall! ![]() I think lesson to be learnt, don't wear Brogues for anything other than casual walking! |
