Editors - Papillon = tune
Bit of a New Order/Depeche Mode rip off... but still

Editors have to be the most underrated band out there, they really are a different class.
I've been looking forward to their new album for so long, and from what I've heard, it has been worth the wait. This will be the album of 2009. |

I used to really like the Editors but his voice doesn't go with the music and the music is very repetitive and annoying.

I'd say in the spirit of rather than a rip off of DM or New Order but this is still a great track.
Nice to see the band ditching the Coldplay impressions of the last album and going back to the more dour early stuff. |

I'm a big fan of theirs and I love the new track. I haven't heard any other new stuff yet but I'm looking forward to getting the new album in 2 weeks.

They've always sounded like a rip off of New Order / Depeche Mode, and this song is personally, a big pile of dung.

It's the best song on the whole album for me. I like the band, like how the singer's vocals are like Ian Curtis, very nice indeed. The album picks up after the third song, which is Papillon.

Is the whole album synth-based rather than guitar-based?

"It kicks like a sleep twitch" is an awful, awful lyric!!
![]() Has this been used on an advert? I've heard it somewhere. Actually, I find it a bit annoying tbh

I like that line. ![]() Quote:

It's more synth based than the previous albums, so if you want full on guitar based you might be disappointed. It was on Spotify to check out and I managed to hear it before they changed it for some reason, it's only avaliable for people who pay to use Spotify at the moment...

Love this song very much but he sounds very much like the singer from the Sisters Of Mercy.
