Problems With Hitachi LCD TV - Help Required
Mark59
29-09-2009
I bought a Hitachi 26" LCD TV - 26LD6600B - in June 2006 for £599. For the second time in just over 3 years the TV now continuously switches itself to standby, back on again and back to standby, and so on. This was originally fixed under the extended warranty, about 18 months ago, which has now expired.

When I could watch the TV there would also be a few coloured, vertical, lines running down the right hand side of the screen. These used to disappear after about 20 minutes.

Has anyone else had these problems, and if so any ideas of the cost of repair?

I’d appreciate any other suggestions – other than don’t buy an Hitachi TV again!

Sounds like you have a faulty power supply, possibly a couple of 15nf caps(Vestel chassis), should be an economical repair. For the lines, probably a screen fault.
