Dolby True HD Audio

I have a Panasonic blu-ray player connected to a Panasonic SC-PT470 all in one home cinema system via an optical connection.
If I select the Dolby True HD audio option on a blu-ray disc menu will my panny all in one be outputting exactly the same audio as it would if I selected the normal DD5.1 option or is it different?

HD audio will only work VIA HDMI and then only on an amp that will support it.

Only normal Dobly Digital and DTS will work VIA the optical cable.

TBH HD audio would be a waste of time on one of those 'all-in-one' things.
