Interesting that he'll do the filtering without the actual track playing. I'd have thought it would be easier to tweak as you listen to get it just as you want it.

The synth was sync'ed up to the metronome so there's no timing issues and interesting you should say that because he sees each synth line as a piece on their own so edits them into the rest of the tune once he's created them.
It was wonderful to be there and just let the man create.
