Given that Craig Harris has not been listed with those that have been axed the only logical way to keep him in the programme would be to kill off Angela & Tommy. I don't why he wouldn't move out of the Street with his parents if they were still alive (unless they got sent to jail for something.)

Yeh I can only think of it being linked with the two men who tried to kill them last year. It's unlikely that it were just those two guys who wanted them all dead. Maybe Corrie goes all Brookie style and has them both hung out the window, an the next morning Vera has a stroke! lol Dat would be one shocker of a week in Corrie lol

What would be interesting would be if Craig accidentally killed them both - I don't think I've ever seen children murder their parents in a soap before!

Well who can blame him for that.
I still think he is really nice, and should definately get a lot more storylines. He is one of the best actors in the soap at the moment. He is definately one of the main reasons I watch Corrie.

A child murdering their parents? That would be a bit out there for Corrie, thats more Eastenders style or Brookie god rest it's soul lol

As for a parent murdering one of their kids? I reckon we'll see that in one of the soaps before long, it's an untapped storyline, one of few that are left.

Since you mention Brookside, we did have Beth Jordache and the Trevor business.

Gregboi - lol, knew you'd say something like that!

Is it just my imagination or is the death rate in soaps significantly higher than the death rate in the general population?

Not your imagination, I wonder what the average life expectancy is if you live on Albert Square or Coronation Street. Probably about 29 or something.

Shame about Harry. But Nick?! You've made my day. Being made of wood, he should blaze away nicely.

Sorry, but to me, Nick is the same as Craig. A great and talented actor, and without him the place just won't be the same again. It's a real shame he is going, I'm really gonna miss him.

It is my understanding, however I could be wrong, that Angela and Tommy, along with Nick and Harry all die in the fire. Altho the specifics will not be released until nearer the time.

Nick, Harry and Angela are easily linked to the factory. They all work there. Tommy, well two things:

1 He works in the garage, slap bang next door.
2 Angela is his wife.

When the hostage situation was happening what did he do? Ran straight in there and risked the life of his family!!

So why should the fire be any different?

The only thing that can throw this idea off is the fact the Bev is to be killed off/leave too. If she is killed around the same time, why would she have anything to do with the factory/fire?

But remember, when the new exec producer came in, there were stories of the 'Corrie Cull' where the Grimshaws were meant to leave and Maxine was to go and Rita was to leave as was Ken and so on.

But as we now know, it was at that time that Rita's contract was renegotiated. The Grimshaw boys were given their big story arc and Maxine's demise was planned. So maybe there will be a reprive for some.

I particularily think they should keep Harry. They can come up with lots of stories for him, because we know absolutely nothing about him. Other than his daughter died and it took best part of two years to find that out.

But we will have to wait and see. The Harris parents die. Katy is to break up with Martin, so it is conceiveable that both her and her murder attempting brother could go back to Sheffield to live with other family.

Don't worry Greigboi Nick definitely does NOT die in the fire but he does take the blame for it & Mike fires him. (You know that's reliable info from my posts on the Todd thread!!)

Just for the record NOBODY dies in the fire. Janice is trapped & Nick saves her, both are taken to hospital - Janice is kept in.

Harry shouldn't go, Bev should, Tommy and Angela should get a storyline as Angela is a good acteress in Fat Friends, but never got a chance to shine in Corrie. Nick should also stay, despite being a crap actor he appeals to the teenage girls which Corrie really needs to beat Eastenders in the British Soap Awards, as EE always gets a younger audience who vote in this thing.
