Televators by The Mars Volta

It's good to see that MTV2 have been showing this video quite a lot, particularly during their NME chart in the evenings. One of the quieter tracks on the album, but still superb. Great video too.

I've not seen the video... will keep me eyes peeled
Agreed though, it's a cracking track (then again, I can't think of one track on that album that isn't)

It features some kind of a marsupial. Don't ask......

I haven't seen the video either but I must agree with your opinion of both the track and the album. I only took delivery of 'De-loused At The Comatorium' very recently, having patiently waited 6 weeks (yep - that's right, 6 effing weeks lol) for CDWOW to deliver. I kept on seeing it in Virgin and HMV and thinking, shall I just pick it up, absorb the additional hit in the pocket and cancel the CDWOW order?! But, I stuck with it and paid £8.99 which, let's face it, is an absolute bargain for a blinder like this.

Since it arrived, I have already burned a further copy so that I can make sure it goes absolutely everywhere with me, accompanying me on the train journeys to and from work and during gym visits too. I play it really loud so that I p*ss off as many people as I possibly can - payback for inane and banal conversations I've had to endure on the train about what's for tea, and who shagged who last night ?! Gimme the Mars Volta anyday and show the finger to the rest of the world

I think I underestimated it a bit when I used the word 'like' .... lol!
It's fantastic stuff, shame you had to wait so long for it though... 6 weeks is pretty bad, even for cdwow ....

Megson, glad you love the album. Unfortunately it's one of those CDs that seems to make you realise that some of your other recent purchases weren't *that* good after all. Know what I mean?

I picked up their Tremulant EP last week (a couple of days from Amazon, sorry Megson ). Just the three tracks, but as it was their first release, it fits nicely between At the Drive-In and The Mars Volta.

Cheers Devo live and Binty - yes, you're right. De-loused stands out in the crowd.

I'm also a big fan of Relationship of Command - ATDI so the Tremulant EP would appear to be a worthy investment. I think I'll go for Amazon this time too !

On the AtD-I subject, has anyone got/heard Vaya or In/Casino/Out/ ? Would be interested to know how they match up to Relationship of Command....

I've got Vaya, and although it has some tracks up to the standard on Relationship of Command, it isn't consistently as good. The general sound of the CD is very similar though. It's definitely worth a purchase.
