where do i stand on this?
got my daughter a sony w910i for xmas.
It was locked but sales assistant told me phones 4y had deal with unlocking place nearby so i could get on O2. After a week or so it kept turning itself off. Looked on net and saw this was a common problem with this phone. Took it back to phones 4u and they said they could get it sent off but unlocking shop was best bet as they could flash phone and keep it unlocked. This didnt help so the unlocking shop had another go, this time it made things bearable. recently it has started to reset but if she was on a call it would take the credit. Fed up with this i took it back to P4U. The sent it off but the repair centre are not going to repair it claiming water damage. This is BS. The net is full of people having same problem with this phone, phones$u are aware of thisas they told me to get it flashed. This seems a way out of them giving me a new phone that actually works as the phone software is shot to bits!!! What can i do about this? Im left with a phone that the shop knows has crap software but they are claiming BS hardware damage for ref: http://www.mobile-phones-uk.org.uk/s...sson-w910i.htm http://www.theorder.co.uk/phones/rev...Ericsson/W910i |

If you dont believe its liquid damaged then take it somewhere else for a second opinion. In my experience no-one ever believes they have got liquid damage. I know the repair company my store uses is paid commision for each phone they can fix. If its the same for phones 4u repair company then if they can fix it they would do so. No benefit to them not to do so just to annoy you.
The liquid damage may not be whats causing the problem with the phone but if its happened then your warranty is invalidated. Are you absolutely sure no liquid has got into it? |

I am sorry to tell you but i had this phone for ages a pink and greyish one.
over 5 months i had this phone , but then changed to nokia 5800 and i had no problems with it atall it was in perfect working order and to be honest mine too was from P4u. I think you need to sit your daughter down and ask her has it got wet or has she dropped it down the toilet. Everyone knows that kids lie once in a while to cover things up that they have done wrong everyone used to do it at one time Hope this helps!

Check the battery in the phone to see if the liquid tab is red or white, also there will be another tab somewhere in the battery compartment.
