Diversity's performance was the highlight of the night for me, as well as seeing JLS win their two awards

God, that was such a waste of 2 hours but I couldn't stop watching because I was having so much fun seeing those people make fools of themselves, the MOBOs and the music industry.
What was going on with the performances? A load of little thuggish looking kids aggressively shouting and talking or rapping or whatever they're calling it these days, a just about passable performance from Keri Hilson and lets not mention the cheesy MJ Tribute or that thing they did at the end. Rebels With Soul? HAHAHA, before crediting themselves with soul, most of them should try learning how to sing in tune and harmonize properly - it was a dreadful wall of discord sound. Go back ten years and you'd have the likes of Craig David, Beverley Knight, Destiny's Child, Beyonce etc absolutely tearing up the stage with their slick vocals, no big stage production bollox - this bunch were more interested in the Britney side of things and worried about how they looked and danced rather than how they sounded (when they weren't shamelessly miming). |

Really wonder who chose Peter Andre? He talks and talks over the performers, he talked over Jordan as well. Surely Alesha would have been a better host?

She came in too early and looked reall awkward for the first minute . . . she pulled it back but it was still uncomfortable viewing! In her defence tho she blamed the sound system on Twitter and said they owe her an apology eek
IMO i thought she still sounded great. Even with her little hiccup at the start her voice still sounded amazing and she was much better than anyone else. Apart from Tinchy stryder rapping at the start, and the god awful young soulless rebels, Kelly was the only one actually singing. JLS were embarrasing. They are famous for entering a 'singing' competition yet they don't even sing? Bizarre. |

I don't see that it was a foregone conclusion, since Alexandra Burke beat them in The X Factor, which is also voted for by the public.
JLS were a foregone conclusion, you can see that by their core fanbase being teen girls. Not many older people would bother to create multiple accounts on the Mobo's site and vote like mad every day. That said, I think the fact the best newcomer shortlist was dominated by reality tv acts was quite sad. At the time of nomination, Alex and Jade didn't even have any 'proper' material released other thatn their respective rality tv show winner's song. A bit of a farce, all in all. And it would have been a complete joke if Alex had won - her single isn't even released yet. |

Peter Andre's snippets were completely pointless. He wasn't too bad though.

![]() The whole thing was pretty pathetic to be honest. The only bits I enjoyed were Mr Hudson's and Kelly Rowland/David Guetta's performances. |
