They teamed up again for the travesty that was the Eurovision Dance Contest a couple of years ago, they were such a perfect match.

I always thought you could tell they danced together as they had quite a similar style, something to do with the legs that I can't explain as I don't have the technical knowledge(!), but the legs just look so precise and sharp but sort of exaggerated in a way that is unique to them. Not that I'm saying they're more precise than the others, it's just something to do with style or placement or something. Wish I could explain better!!

I only miss Isabella. Her sexy genie dance with Dennis Taylor was awesome.

No the first year the organisers hadn't decided any rules and it was a mish mash of pro couples and pro/celeb couples.....

The second year they insisted that the all of the entrants had to be a pro/ celebrity couple and we entered Louisa Lytton and Vincent Simone.

IIRC Greece cheated by saying that the bloke in their couple was a "windsurfing champion" but Len who was doing the commentary said had judged the couple (who were Australian) in loads of competitions and they were in fact both professionals although retired from competition! The Russian entrant was their European, World and Olympic Ice dancing champion Tatiana Navka!!

Don't know why we bother with anything that's got 'eurovision' in the title, we're just doomed from the start, lol!!

I loved them dancing in series 1 as they were more suited then Camilla is with Ian (IMO).”

Erin said in an interview that Brendan and Natasha were both single if and when anything happened. But Camilla talked about being humiliated by them together in an interview.

Both Camilla and Brendan say their dancing partnership was the best one either of them have had because they had an irreplaceable chemistry. Poor Ian!

Hazel Newberry is one of the most highly ranked pros to have been on Strictly, I believe. Pity she got stuck with Quentin!

I wonder if it was an emotional affair. Strange that it caused both Brendan and Natasha to split from their partners if nothing happened.

Camilla is a great teacher - she did so well with people like James Martin and Gethin Jones who were not natural dancers at all to start off with.”

I have hunted high and low, but can't find it now - sorry. It wasn't that long ago - within the last year I think - and I thought I had posted a link on another thread, but my posts only go back as far as 19.9.09 and it was probably before that.

I suspect you are right about it maybe being an emotional affair, but I am not surprised that led to the break ups. Emotional affairs are no different to a 'physical' affair imho.

Re the Series 2 parings,
Anton & Erin
Ian & Camilla
Darren & Lilia

Then there was Brendon & Paul Killick, and Nicole Cutler & Hazel Newberry but who was partnered with who? Was is really that Brendon was Hazel. I really can't remember but would have thought that Brendon was with Nicole over Hazel (but could be wrong so don't shoot me! )

I don't think it needs re-tuning.

I was under the impression that it was a green-card marriage more than anything - though I could be wrong.

Neither were paired together ever.

There was no pro numbers in the results show.

Unless I am completely losing the plot, on Strictly, Paul has never danced with any other pro but Hanna (Karttunen).

Yeah, Louisa with Vincent. They ranked better than Camilla and Brendan did and they danced a paso doble/tango/jive. It was really good, actually .

There were no pro numbers but there were examples of the dance at the beginning of the show which did have Brendan & Nicole demo-ing, I think Darren & lilia ,Anton & Erin and Hazel did these sort of snapshots also.I have no idea who danced with Hazel in that very small segment though.

Yep I remember the ones he did with Hanna in series 1.The man dancing with Hazel I recall as being blond for some reason (haven't watched it in a little while)

Louisa and Vincent's entry.

Would have made a fantastic showdance if she made the final

I understood that they lived together. And both have gone on record, saying how much pain the split caused.
