connection help

HELP!!

I have the following equipment and i want to set it all up soeverything works basically!! I hav'nt really got a vast knowledge of how things should be setup properly so please could someone help.

I have -
Sony DAVSC5 dvd
Philips dvdr75 dvd recorder
Sky+

want i want to do is connect it up so that i can always have the sky on, i can record programmes from the sky+ onto blank DVD's and then switch the dvd on and watch movies.

so could someone please help me and tell me the most effective and basic way to connect all these up

Assuming that you TV has 2 scarts then.

Sony DAVSC5 dvd --> TV
&
TV output of Sky+ --> Philips dvdr75 dvd --> TV

Sky+ via optical digital cable to DAVSC5 for 5.1 goodness.

should just about cover it, though if you want to record in 5.1 we'll have to think of something else.
