Two BTV in one house??

I've been thinking about this for ages....and can't work out if its been on here before!!
I watch telly in two different rooms depending on the time of day. I do have two vision boxes (dont ask!!! BT cock up!!!).
I was wondering if its possible to have two boxes connected up and will they be able to record or will just one box be able to record?
