I hope I can explain this properly;
I had a Series 4 LE22B450 put onto my bedroom wall today, using the Sky feed into the room as it has been all along, via a LoftBox, dropped down into each room.
Previously, this setup worked fine on my little TV/DVD combo, with me using a red-eye link connected to it, and with a second Sky Remote (Rev-6). I would turn the TV on with its own remote, select Channel 6 (which was the one selected for Sky) and then point my Sky remote at it,switch on the Sky signal (fed up from the Sky+ Box downstairs, in the lounge) and away I went, with full Sky functionality on the Sky remote.

However, when all this is passed on and connected to the new Samsung on the wall, I cant find the channel or the means to do the same thing..?? I have all the Freeview & Terrestrial channels ok.
Ive been through the menu loads of times, scanned the channels god knows how many (both Digital and Analogue, and a combination) too. Finally, on the 'Plug & Play' setup in the Samsung manual, it mentions Step 4 whereby you select either 'Air' or 'Cable' as the Antenna source-this option does not present itself when I go through these steps..?
I also have a Samsung DVD player fed via HDMI, up to the TV.. Any ideas/advice?

many thanks

PS;I tried the 'old' tv again with all the new connections/combinations and it worked fine, as it always has, with Sky still accessible & viewable.

I have had a look on the Samsung website and downloaded the manual for your telly.

On Page 19 it describes how to tune in manually. What you need to do is put the TV into Analogue TV mode then go into the menu system and call up the Manual Store option.

Select 6 as the programme number. Colour System to PAL and Sound System to I. Set the Channel to C then use the up or down arrow to start a scan. That should find the existing BBC1/2 ITV, C4 and Five services and hopefully somewhere in there the Sky signal.

Fairly obviously you must have the Sky box turned on and tuned into a channel to do this.

But give that a go.

Many thanks for your reply. I have just tried to do the above, setting the TV in Analogue mode ok (via Menu, Channel, Country and changing the option in the 'country' popup box from "Digtal Channel, United Kingdom" to "Analogue Channel, United Kingdom" and entering my PIN to confirm it - I presume thats how to do it?
However, when I then go into the Manual Store settings, the next popup shows Digital Channel (highlighted) and Analogue Channel options, BUT it wont let me scroll down to the Analogue part in order to select it??

Am I being a total numpty here? Havent a clue what to do next... I cant carry on & select the channel options as you outlined.

You have to start with the TV set to the Analogue channels. So make sure before you start that you have switched from viewing the Freeview channels to viewing the analogue channels. Then go into the menus and try again.

OK so I AM a numpty...! I have searched through the TV Manual and also gone through the whole TV Menu but I cant figure out how to set the TV into Analogue TV Mode!

Ive gone back into Plug & Play and selected the Analogue channels ok but when I go into Manual Store, Im still not getting to be able to scroll down to `Analogue Channels` as before..
Can somebody do a step by step idiot (!) guide for me,please?

On the remote there is a TV button top right. Press that and it should switch between analogue and digital modes. it should be every easy to check. Simply press channel 8 on the remote. If you see BBC 3 then you are in digital mode. Just a load of static and you are in analogue mode.

So once you have established that you are watching analogue TV now try going into the menus. Just press the MENU button, you do not need to use the Plug and Play feature at all.

Then simply select Channel using the up/down arrow buttons and press the Enter button. Then select Manual Tune and you should be able to go into Analogue tune.

Ok;Im now losing the will to live....

Tried the top right TV button as you said, chrisjr. No joy, it doesnt do anything,zilch,nada.. The channels still show on the OSD as 'DTV' underneath the respective Channel Number whenever I change them over, etc.. I cant figure out getting Analogue Mode, arrgh.
Cant see what is going wrong, Im thinking maybe the remote needs replacing?? If so, Im bracing myself for long-winded grief when I contact Samsung(which I`d rather not, as I am deaf and phone convos arent the easiest thing for me..).. The tv itself has been sitting in its box, unopened for a couple of months in my room, waiting for my mate to fit it-which he did, last week...

Any other ideas?

cheers for input so far, its much appreciated

OK. Lets get brutal with the thing!

On the remote press and hold down the EXIT button untill you get the message RESET ALL SETTINGS TO DEFAULTS appears. This resets the thing back to out of the box condition. So you will have to start all over again.

If it goes back into Plug and Play mode make sure you select AIR and not CABLE mode and DIGITAL & ANALOGUE. Then let it do a channel search. Or if you have to go into the Channel Search menu manually make the same selections if offered.

Oh and if you decide the TV is faulty it is the store you bought it from that you have to return it to not Samsung (unless you bought it from Samsung of course)
