That can't be right, there was thousands of other songs this year a lot better, they shouldn't have won that, i don't even like them that much to be perfectly honest, they didn't deserve that.

That's probably why you didn't think they deserved to win.

i'm amazed it won too. it's just an average cheesy R&B song, that got to no.1 off the back of the ludicrous amount of airplay and promotion JLS had.

what about Tinchy Stryder and Dappy's Number 1 - that didn't have anything like the promotion Beat Again got, but spent 3 weeks at no.1, holding off seriously tough competition from La Roux, and has sold over 500,000 copies in the uk alone. surely that must count for something! i know sales aren't everything but when it comes to an award like best song i wonder how the panel decide on the winner?

tinchy stryder has said he'll never attend the MOBOs again after going home award-less for the third year... perhaps he feels the same way you do.

Firs time I've watched it in years and it was a bloody farce of a show. A bunch of boring, non eventful performances and some cheap plastic award.

I thought they would have spared some expense on the life-time achievement award but when they presented it I luaghed, it was the same frosted plastic shite that everyone else was presented with.

I agree!! If it was worst song then JLS should have got it!! And I agree with the comment about average R&B song 100% - JLS =

It was voted for by the public. Obviously the teen girls made various accounts to vote for them.

It's a shame really, the MOBO's are always quite bad; cheap production, boring performances. Just a very shabby awards ceremony (although this year it looked like they've put a bit more effort and money into it than usual). They really could do so much better with it.

And I truly agree: JLS should not have won with that cheddar infested song! However most of the nominees throughout were a bit ridiculous really. I suppose the UK just can't compare with what the Americans are churning out at the moment.

Yeah it was mimed. They've never performed it without miming as far as I know.

of course they did, it sounded exactly like the recorded version. they appeared to be trying to get their mouths to match the timing and the words to begin with, but as their dancing grew more demanding they just gave up with making it look convincing.

The fact that Tinchy and Dizee didnt get an award is ridiculous, honestly its a mockery of the Mobo Voting system!

Both Tinchy and Dizzee had double #1 singles this year

Another reason "People thinking other people would vote for Tinchy and Dizzee

Now the JLS new single is RUBBISH! I liked their first 1

Apparently Dappy let rip on JLS after the awards because of their quick route to fame and lack of song-writing abilities.

It's voted for by the public and they have a lot of teenage fans who will vote multiple times, but the MOBO awards are a bit of a joke anyway so it's not exactly a prestigious award to win. But good luck to them.

I honestly haven't seen a live performance of 'Beat Again' yet. Every performance has been mimed.

i think their excuse is the dance routine. it would seem they can't sing live and dance at the same time.

Good for him. He might look like a **** in those hats (what the **** was that tea towel all about) but he's right. People can dis NDubz all day everyday, but the bottom line is they didnt "make it" over night.

I actually like Beat Again though. But that blatantly mimed performance was absolutely awful. Couldn't sing because of the dance routine? Well then don't dance!

They didn't deserve that, at all ...

Did Alexandra perform?

I'd say Tynchy or N Dubz deserved it, or both of them or 'Number 1'. N Dubz have spent years and years working the circuit and building themselves up.

More embarrassing for them not singing live, when that kid Shaheen sings his MJ tribute live.

Beat Again was not the best single but it's just like it is at the Brits, when the public are in charge of voting for the best single and it's always the boyband/girlband that wins it. Didn't Girls Aloud win it this year? It's the most uncredible award at these things. Pop pap beats out the better stuff every time.

N-dubz & Tinchy Stryder - Number 1

Dizzie Rascal - Holiday (and bonkers)

TBH Tinchy stryder did a few songs that were better than JLS's song.

The fact that Dizzee Rascal and Tinchy Stryder, probably the two MOST successful and critically acclaimed black British acts of 2008-2009 came away from the MOBOs empty handed shows how much of a mockery they are.

JLS are crap, plastic pop. DR and TS actually have some raw talent which is not being recognised.
