One iPhone to Another.......
I'm taking back my week old 02 iPhone at the weekend (under the 14 day cooling off thing) and fully intend to upgrade on Orange as soon as possible to another iPhone.
My question is this, what do I need to do so that I can just re-load my apps and contacts to the new phone once it arrives? I have saved all my contacts to Outlook (after updating them all to the iPhone contact format!) Apps are on my iTunes No musics or photos on the phone yet so nothing to worry about there. Also when returning the phone, I assume I take it back to the Apple store I bought it from rather than 02 who hold the contract? Once there will they clear the data from the phone whle I'm there or should I do it before hand - if so what's the safest method? Thanks all JB |

Don't wish to be rude but any reason you are returning the phone?
Reports in the press lead me to believe there won't exactly be massive discounts in the monthly tariffs from vodafone/orange. If you have the phone in your hands now and like it so much you want to get it again in 2/3 months time it seems alot of hassle and time without the phone till you can get it on orange? |

There's nothing on the contract to say that it doesn't apply to the iPhone and the salesman in the apple store said I could bring it back so I'm hoping for an easy ride.
The reason I'm taking it back is because I'm more than happy with my Orange contract and have about 13 years of loyalty to the brand, it may nor count for much who knows but I've not bought a phone in as long as I can remember and they have always got me the phone I want at upgrade time. I don't see any point in leaving them. If I'd known the iPhone was going to be announced on Orange I'd have waited, probably for at least a few months if needed, it was just bad timing on my part that I ended up getting it the day before Orange dropped their iBomb! |
