I really want a unit to hide all my wires, fit as nicely as possible into a 2 metre wide space, be black or wooden, have glass doors prefely

I need to house a 42' Tv, although be flexible enough for future TV' upto 50'.

also needs to house..

A PS3
Virgin plus
An amp,

It would be great to hide all wires, I dont want a corner cabinet. can be no more than 7ft tall.

all under £300.

Anyone know where I can get something like this, I thought it would be easy, but nothing seems to meet my specs.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Hi, I had the same problem. I spent 3 weeks searching for a decent cabinet, and thought they were silly prices.
I notice you also live in sunny Birmingham.

I went to Levinnes on the Warwick Road, Acocks Green (opposite Cousins) and got a lovely 3ft wide solid oak cabinet for £220 that fits my 42" LCD beautifully.

Levinnes had a wide range of cabinets at affordable prices.
Hope this helps you.

If I'm reading the OPs post correctly....he wants the cabinet to "house" his TV...he wants to put it inside a cabinet.

I think Alphason do a good range of cabinets and they come in a varied selection of finishes, open front or with glass door. I raised the one I bought up by adding some short chrome legs from a diy store. Looks ace.

Trouble with ALL of those I've seen is that there's nowhere to put everything; the Ariston Pro Turntable, the Cambridge Audio DVD recorder, the HTPC (full width Coolermaster desktop), the PS2, the Denon cassette recorder, the S-VHS video recorder and the Cambridge Audio Azur receiver. the Ruark Centre speaker AND the 32" Full HD TV.

And then there's the 70+ records, 100+ tapes (cassette and VHS), 400+ DVDs (all types), 300+ CDs and several external hard drives!

Hide the wires? Don't make me laugh, it hurts!

It's all rather confusing really!

I'm actually wondering how I manage to cram it all into my living room, never mind a single stand!

Which will double as a storage radiator ... until the excess heat starts blowing up the equipment.

This is stylish, well made and future proof.

I paid £700 for my Ultimate High AV 10 years ago and its testament to the brand and model that its still being made today.

Pricey but would any of those cheaper ones look as good as new after 10 years.

Mine houses : motorised satbox , Sky HD, V+, Freeview PVR, HDD/DVDR x 2 , Bluray player , amp (and tv on top)

You simply buy additional glass shelves whenever you get a new device
