Hey Smokey!

I do like them generally, but for some reason I prefer the Hardy. I could listen to her talk choreography all evening......
She was too manic for me on the dancefloor, but Im slowly coming around to her off it

Hello!

I'm just watching now. How come they didn't have Ali & Brian in CC? I would have been interested to hear what Darren had to say about it (even though I do prefer Karen on CC).
I got the impression, with limited time, they deliberately covered guests who were appearing tonight - i.e. Jade/Ian and Ricky/Erin.

Same for me. I actually disliked her a lot when dancing but love her doing CC.

Oh damn, I've just realised I've missed Eastenders.

And I thought this evening couldn't get any worse

Aw, Sid!

At least it'll be on iPlayer - it's not like the old days when if you'd missed it you'd have to wait for the repeat if there was one!

A good show, but was ruined a bit by the (pointless) Chris segment.
It was probably aimed at showing off his famous male relations to raise votes!

I thought we were going to find out that Chris had a famous dancer in his family and was waiting for the reveal.

It was just a lead up to his mother being in the studio ....... so glad she defined the fact that Chris has a 'very serious gf and they are buying a house together'. Wait now for the paps to get hold of that one.

Mother's eh ..... who'd have them? Bless her!!
I can just imagine the 'discussions' about that bit in the Hollins household tonight

His dad was a really good footballer.

John Hollins played 592 games, and scored 69 goals in his first spell at Chelsea, and was part of the successful Chelsea sides of the mid-1960s and early 1970s, at one point making 167 consecutive appearances, a club record.

He was one of the Chelsea "Hs" who played in the team in the late sixties.

Hollins, Hudson, Harris R, Harris A, Houseman, Hutchinson.

He accomplished far than his son ever will.
I think that's a bit harsh tbh and completely depends on your definition of 'accomplished'. He is hardly an under achiever and playing football for Chelsea doesn't mean a fat lot to me.

Chris played football for Charlton, QPR, and Aldershot Town. Went to the University of Durham and Oxford University. He played first-class cricket for Oxford and gained a blue. He has worked for Sky, ITV, Channel 5 and the BBC, where is is on TV virtually everyday. He is even a patron of children's cancer charity CLIC Sargent.

At least give the man his due.

Hola Buddy! He's absolutely incorrigible!

Back on SCD: I'm worried about Jade. She should be very good at foxtrot, but I'm not sure the foxtrot is the best dance to have coming out of the danceoff- I wouldn't have said it was a particular vote-winner for the general public...

I might have to vote for Jade & Ian and Chris & Ola this week. I think they will do a fab foxtrot, but I'm worried about the Craig & Flavia voters.

Indeed. If Jade goes out before Craig I might actually break into the next Strictly and shout at the public for not voting for her (before being dragged off by security, and hopefully becoming famous enough to be in next year's Strictly ).

I agree, as amazing as it will be, Foxtrot just doesn't have the impact a Latin dance would, and the Craig and Flavia voters will be on top form seeing as it's just one week off their goal. I wonder what it'll be like when he does make it there? I presume he'll get a latin dance like a Salsa or something so he can end on a high.

He loves it

Evening you <smooch!> x

Hopefully Jade & Ian will be fine this weekend. The audience will be shocked into making sure they vote for them.

I'm hoping that with all of them now playing the Blackpool card, it will detract away from Craig's campaign to get there!

If Jade goes out before Craig we might have our first ever DS member murdering another DS member, because Bhoy might have money on Craig, but I've got money on Jade!

You'll have to find him first, he's an "inactive member" now

I've never wanted someone not to get through more than I do with Craig now... and I feel bad about it.

Funnily enough, I didn't really feel like that until Bhoy began his "campaign"

Sounds like everyone wants to get to Blackpool now!
Not to worry. I'm sure Claudia WILL get them all there..... somehow.

"I think I might be pregnant" Brilliant.

Probably the two highlights of tonights show.....

It was my home town but, as soon as I hit 18, you couldn't see me for dust
I was born in Blackpool then moved to Kirrkham and I too left at 18 and have been in London ever since.
(Did go to Wembley to see Blackpool promoted to the Championship though)

Susie Amy met Zoe on Footballers' Wives. But not Laila, apparently..?
I noticed that too! Very odd especially as she also referenced Gillian Tailforth.

Laila's character was the replacement for Susie's who left before Laila came into it.
Sorry should have read on. I was probably just reading too much into it as I'm not really a big fan of Laila's.

Depends if I'll have any company

Personally i just don't think it works as well with two people as it does with one, as what you really need is a detailed explanation rather than a conversation about the dance. Karen Hardy is particularly good though.
