I could listen to Karen talk choreography all day.

Interesting stuff.

Chris is great fun. Never gives a dull interview. Let's hope he gets his confidence back and delivers a decent Salsa this weekend.

He was still competing as a professional during S2 but retired in time for S3, she went back to competing in S3 and by S4 both had retired!

I always thought the problem with Carol's Rumba was her dress was the colour of puke! Oh and the fact that she was dancing with Paul Killick!

I think both your reasons have one very big link

.

That was his last dance on SCD anyway so at least he went out on something to remember. I also remember that his choreography went down about aswell as Aliona's with Len.

If people think James is big headed then obviously they never saw Paul Killick on the show!

And he danced without his shirt on!

I've just watched the start as I missed the first part of the C&O interview.

I have made a decision.

I am in Team Hollins for the rest of the series and Ola has replaced Karen as my favourite female pro! Ta da!

I agree that Ola has really gone up in my placing of her against the other pros. Up near the top now with Darren, Lilia, Karen and Flavia. But James, still waiting for him to come around...

Scuppers my plan though a bit. For the past few series I've always been tempted to send them off in a little dinghy across the atlantic ocean, hoping that DwtS would set them up with something. Might just be dinghy for one this year, or he can take someone else with him (not sure as to who yet though

Matthew did not join SCD until Series 3 - for the pro dances, he partnered Izabela Hanna (sp)

Series 4 - in the pro dances, he partnered his usual professional partner Nicole Cutler, as with Series 5.

Series 6 - after being in Series 2, 4 and 5, Nicole was banished by the BBC and Matt was left without his usual pro partner. He danced with Karen Hardy, who also needed a new pro partner since she had a supposed falling out with pro partner Brendan Cole

Series 7 Karen Hardy is not taking part, so Matthew has now been given one of the new pros, Aliona Vilani.

Matthew and Nicole competed together, and they were pro partners until 2003, when they had a break, and then got back together as professional partners again in 2006, and have been professional partners ever since.

according to a previous post she went back to competiting during series 3 and then by the start of series 4 they had both retired.

I knew they had split as a pro pair, but not retired. I thought they had different partners for a while and got back together when they were on SCD. I also thought Nicole recommended Matt for SCD, so I wondered why they didn't dance together in Series three, but that explains it.

I absolutely, wholeheartedly disagree with Karen saying the paso is the easiest and the quickstep is the hardest

In fact, I'm wondering what she was smoking when she said it. Even if that's her personal opinion, it doesn't seem to be AT ALL true for Strictly.
