I thought everyone looked good in the training footage but most of the song choices are awful, especially when you try to imagine the band singing them. The Darkness, Duran Duran and Take That - fine in other contexts but for SCD? I find it a bit baffling.

I really like Natalie C and I often vote for her, but her going on about precise scores feels to me like she's trying to influence the judges - she asks for a 30 and she gets a 30, she asks for more and she gets 31 and now she's going for 9s. Perhaps if it works who can blame her but, for me, I'd prefer to concentrate on how much she's enjoying it. I didn't like the 9s comment.

Really felt for Ricky and Erin as it's hard to imagine them not ending up in the bottom 2 - and if he does I think he'll go against anyone left in. At least his shoulders have improved, if he can repeat that tomorrow.

I think Ricky W was fine, all smiley and happy and what more could you ask for? Sorry but I really can't warm to Natalie though. I wish I could. I can't justify it, I'm sure it's my fault not hers. I thought their jive looked great, though.

Agreed. I stayed away from here last year because of the venom against Rachel and didn't need the grief. This year I'm gonna stand firm until Ricky goes.

Looking forward to tomorrow night - hope they all do really well and fortunately no Bruce jokes!

No, I'm pretty sure they didn't because R&N weren't one of the couples the panel talked about.

Speaking as if he has the same struggle every week as the other celebs is off putting for me when he is not only a talented and natural dancer, we see how he successfully manages the hard choreography Natalie gives him.

This isn't a big deal for me - I'm not a Ricky basher.”

Worst day ever!

No, I know you're not a Ricky Basher but I cant really see the logic of your argument here. (Not saying this to provoke an argument, let me explain). Just because he is a natural and talented dancer does not mean he will still struggle each week and does not mean he shouldnt be allowed to find aspects of his training and his progression throughout the competetion difficult, I dont think it is particularly fair.

I understand what you mean, because it can be irritating for someone who isnt a natural at something to watch another person pick it with with apparent ease. However, the key word there is 'apparent'. Natural talent does not always mean someone will find dancing easy.

For example, I used to be a natural at Tap Dancing when I was younger. I picked it up really easily and was good at it. But there were occasionally different moves that I struggled to pick up, like wings and even pick-up-steps. It used to frustrate me because I was good at it but couldnt seem to get it.

People who are naturally gifted and talented, when they are faced with something they have a difficulty with picking up they will get as frustrated as those who struggle with it normally. Its only human to do so and I dont think it should be something people should find a fault with.

Hi BuddyBontheNet, apologies if I upset/offended you as I do think you are one of the more objective posters on here when it comes to Mr Whittle (and the programme in general). It's just that at the beginning when he was saying that he liked it at the top of the leader board and wanted to stay there people on here were criticising him for it.

Another Ricky fan here, hope he does well in the jive tomorrow.

Tbh i would feel the same if i wasn't a supporter of Ricky - the fact you are commenting shows you do care, so why pretend otherwise (and not that it will matter, but i did edit my post to take the smilie off).

Abbasolutely, its Friday and Claudia is presenting tomorrow - 2 excellent reasons to be happy and maybe allow some Ricky Whittle fans a bit of breathing space and to be allowed to enjoy being on the forums for once. We know you're not his biggest fan but how about having an evening off and get excited because Ive got a feeling tomorrow is going to be bloody AMAZING! Yay!

Thank you for taking the rolling eyes off ,I appreciate it .

In my neck of the woods " do I care " is a figure of speech , we dont take it completly literally , what we mean is I am not bothered to see it Thank you .

I'm extra excited about this weekend's show because Claudia will be a part of it

I thought the Friday night panel were great - especially Miranda - very funny lady.

I'm not sure who looks the weakest in training. I would have thought Laila would be, but I was pleasantly surprised by what I saw. Needs to get into character more for the actual performance obviously.

And Chris just gets cuter every time I see him! He's got those adorable pink cheeks that you just want to pinch! (or maybe it's just me).

Sorry to Ricky fans, but he and Natalie did nothing to endear themselves to me tonight. I oscillate between feeling awkward and bored during their interviews.

I agree about Katherine but I can't believe I didn't notice it before. Phyllis Stein said she's like Barbie and that is exactly what I was thinking.

Pleasantly surprised by Chris's paso, lets hope his performance will be ok

An excellent point, I think some FMs here need to remember this. And I hope you remember this too next time one of the braver Ricky W fans attempts to defend him on here and not jump on our backs too

Agreed.

I'm pretty sure if we were all in a pub somewhere we would be quite happily arguing for our favourites without a hint of malice.
