Not wanting to be difficult , but why wouldn't she , or any of them , want higher marks each week .?

And don't forget , each of them is edited to present a particular view of their personality.

I admire Ricky's dancing , but I can't say the persona promoted of him on SCD is appealing .

And I do think he should not have had over 30 for that tango;far too many mistakes . I have never seen anyone , in 7 series get such high scores for such a fault riddled routine .

*Laura* has it right when she says

No my point was a lot of people really slagged him off because he said he wanted to do well/liked being on top of the leaderboard/wanted good scores but the minute someone else says it the forum is deathly quiet. I was pointing out the hypocrisy shown by some people on here just so they can lay into a celeb they dont like.

And there were 3 mistakes in that tango. Hardly riddled.

What an image that song title conjures up!

Drop the "K" and you've got a Moody Blues classic, with vocals by the only man whose singing voice I would literally give my left arm to have, Justin Hayward.
Lol....pardonnez moi.
My mate actually walked up the aisle to that song too

I was trying to keep up with the posts at the time and they were being posted faster than R+N's Tango steps - my typing is not my strength either.
Is anyone else having problems with the site blanking out tonight btw?
So there you have it , my excuse(s) take your pick

(Sir ALW in a white satin gown? ooer )

I do agree the dance was a tad overmarked, (I thought it worth 8s) but it was hardly riddled with mistakes. I doubt if there was anyone in the competition (except a pro) who could have coped with such demanding choreography. It was a great routine which was under rehearsed. The guy only had 8 hours practice, if he had 30 hours like another celeb we, probably would have seen one of the greatest tangos ever on SCD.

I don't understand why the pros don't modify choreography when circumstances change. I think it's a bad move to continue with difficult/fast choreography when there isn't enough time to master it.

I hasten to add that Natalie isn't the only pro to make that mistake.

Perhaps she thought Ricky could handle it despite minimal training hours, but I think she's learnt from it as she did say she has slowed the jive down this week.

I personally loved Ricky's Tango but then, I am a Tango Lover, I count Alesha's Tango as one of the best all time SCD dances.

And Chris just gets cuter every time I see him! He's got those adorable pink cheeks that you just want to pinch! (or maybe it's just me).

Somehow I don't think "cute" and "adorable pink cheeks " are what the judges will be looking for in the paso, Sid.

It has ever been so on SCD and I stand by what I say , the VTs are edited to show exactly what the BBC want. Ricky is shown always saying he wanted to be top of the leaderboard , Natalie is now shown wanting one more mark

Ramps made 3 mistakes in a jive and got 5

Ricky could have broken Natalie's arm missing that hold.

I think he is a great dancer , it's a pleasure to watch him dance , but I don't think he will win.

In any case , there are, relatively, so few of us posting on this forum , what we say or think has no effect on the public vote.It doesn't really matter what we think.
The bulk of the voters may love Ricky to bits , we won't know just yet .A week or two more may show where the votes are going more clearly .

Oh and it was wrong of me to suggest that there is one rule for Ricky , I think it applies to Ali too .

I'm a tango lover too albeit one with a bad memory - I don't remember Alesha's.

Zoe & Ian and Louisa & Vincent are my all-time favourites.

I'm hoping I can add Jade & Ian to that list tomorrow night.

I was happy to hear that Natalie had slowed down the Jive. I hate it when dances are too manic.

I didnt watch Ramps's year so Im suprised someone who won the show got a 5! Perhaps it didnt have the 'performance' that -in my humble opinion- Ricky's tango had. But like I said, blumming LOVE a Tango I do.

I agree with you that the VT's are edited in a particular way. My point is that I just dont think it is fair!

Just looked. It's good but I don't love it. The music is a factor - I don't like it. Great tango but wouldn't be a favourite.

I forgot to mention Rachel & Vincent's Tango. I loved that too!

Ah, you see I loved the music and I just loved the dance. But hey, we cant all agree.

I thought R&V's Tango was excellent choreographically but I just didnt emote with it. However, their AT was outstanding. My fave of all time.

We can agree at last drbol!

Rachel & Vincent's Argentine Tango was outstanding.

It was so stylish and there was a subtlety about it.

I've lost count of how many times I've watched it on YouTube.

Ah, c'mon Sid, Im sure just because Im a Ricky W fan doesnt mean we cant agree on more than one thing!

As much as I love Ricky W, I can appreciate all of the dancing from all of the other celebs gone by on SCD in their glittery glory!

Hi, just caught up with ITT. At the end Erin said she and Ricky would show us some of their dance but not the beginning. They then went on to do their dance from what looked like the beginning. Either she changed her mind or she has Ricky doing a 'special' start again that they're keeping as a surprise I'm a bit worried

I'm so glad I'm not the only one who does that sort of thing!

Like you Daisy, I enjoyed their traditional Tango as well.

The music, the dress, the light and shade in the choreography all worked a treat

Well said drbol

I do enjoy Ricky W's dancing (more than Ali's I have to say), but the excitement doesn't seem to extend beyond the dancefloor for me. And I am one of those viewers that needs to become attached to my couples away from the dancefloor as well

I had some time on my hands yesterday and looked at a few of Rachel's dances. Brought back to me how good she really was. She and Vincent looked great together.

Why are you worried? Not fond of 'special' starts?

I didnt watch his year so I have watched a few of his dances but he just does nothing for me. And (Im aware Im at risk of getting shouted at here) I cannot, CANNOT stand Karen Hardy when she dances. The inane grin and the frigging finger pointing she always does drives me up a tree! But I do like her on ITT and choreography corner and I think she should replace Alesha as a judge.

So you missed Louisa & Vincent? They were great. I also loved Matt Dawson that year (I think it was that year - bad memory again).

I totally agree with you about Karen when she's dancing and I love her on ITT. Funny though, I liked her when she was with Bill Turnbull. She put me off Mark Ramprakash who I actually like. Must be a case of familiarity breeding contempt.

Their dancing was pure class, truly wonderful partnership.
I have just been rewatching once more their rumba, Tango and AT in particular, and never get tired of them.
I still get goosebumps even now from those three, and loved all of their dances.
