I'm confused by Ali and Brian's training footage - he said she was sexy, she stormed off to have 'a moment alone'. Huh? Am I missing something? Are the ITT producers trying to convince us that they're not completely loved up?

Everyone's salsa training looked good, I'm excited about this weekend

Kristina did not look very happy with Joe tonight. I find he has his head too much forward all the time and if he's going to dance he needs to get on his toes and not seem so flat footed.

I think it's going to be a cracking show judging by some of the training clips.

In particular, I'm looking forward to seeing what Brian Fortuna has choreographed. I know that he specialises in the Salsa so it should be good.

Also thought Laila and Craig's Foxtrots looked very promising.

Let's just hope there are fewer mistakes this weekend (compared to last).

The answer is in your question. He just seems too full of himself which is not a likeable quality here in the UK, might go down ok in the USA.

Most of the couples look as thought they are making great progress, and Ali and Brian's dance could be special if she manages to throw herself into the happy party atmosphere of the dance, otherwise she could end up like Rachel did last year, being accused of not bringing personality to her performance.

I think I did answer my own question . Its more than that even , he is actually coming across very badly and its not just his being in love with himself , there is more .I am sure it will be evident soon as he doesnt seem to hide the fact that he idolises himsefl

Interesting to see the amount of taining hours of each couple.

Why does it not surprise me that Brian and Ali have done the most training this week, 24 hours, and Lynda and Darren have done the least with 13 hours.

Would have thought that Lynda needs more than a mere 13 hours.

Do you know what? I don't even thing SMUG does it because that implies he knows how good everyone else thinks he is. I just think he comes over as totally self centred. I didn't know him before SCD, so I have no idea if that's how he usually comes over, but one of the other celebs needs to say to him "Do you ever think about what you are saying? Get over yourself mate!" Others are very focused on their performances (Ricky G, Chris, etc.), but none of them come over as 'ME, ME, ME' as Ricky W and I suspect it is made worse by Natalie as his pro!

Oooh that turned into a bit of a rant!

Anyway...

I think tonight was the first time in ages I have laughed out loud at Claudia's attempts at dancing during the 'Ask Len' slot! She is a gem!

Tuffers seems to be doing ok so far, although I thought Katya looked a bit concerned, but wasn't Kristina getting tough with Joe? I think she knows they are on the ropes (geddit?) and is trying to salvage the situation - which is unsalvageable!.

I'm pleased to say nobody reminds me of Lisa, but I'm still not sure I think Laila is very genuine (and I said this before all the stuff blew up about Anton) - but we'll see.

I'm getting to the point now where I still wish everybody does a great dance - except Ricky W!

Yes, she's well capable of doing so when she tries.....yesterday's ITT footage looked a lot more promising than today's, I have to say....maybe today's was taken from earlier in the week. I love how encouraging Brian is with her, and how positively she responds.

I like watching him dance, but he gets on my nerves a bit when he speaks! Part of the problem is that apart from Laila who I'm still undecided about, I really like everyone else and so Ricky and Laila stick out a bit for me - but nothing like the scale of some others in previous series!

I'm not sure what my opinion is of Ricky W - I mostly feel indifference. I do really like Ali but I think this has a bit to do with Brian (who makes me feel a bit swoony ).

I really wanted to like Laila but she sets my nerves on edge by forgetting the steps (every dance so far if memory serves). I also wanted to really like Natalie and maybe I will in time if she stops being so needy.

So my favourites this year are Ricky G and Erin (so far) - they really make me feel the joy of the dance and that is what I want to feel most of all.

Even Len and his masterclass didn't make me grit my teeth tonight - maybe things are looking up.

I really like Zoe and James as a partnership, mainly because of the former I think. She seems more open in the interviews now then she did previously.

Loved the dance masterclass, especially when Claudia nearly fell into Len.

I hope Phil's ok - his training looked painful at times for him. Maybe he could dance one legged on Saturday?
