The stat man is a genuine boff-nerd with autistic tendencies.
He knows it is meant to be entertainment so he makes the appropriate face. Only it doesn't exactly work. Yikes.

Footygirl: to answer your question....

On tonights' clips I would give

Jade and Ian 36
Ricky W and Natalie 35
Natalie and Vincent 28
Phil and Katya 26
Jo and Brendan 19

And Laila and Anton's jive - 18 Oh Dear! Don't think it is all down to Laila. Anton's hopeless at Latin, especially jive and cha cha, so he can't teach it. [Sorry Anton fans, don't mean to offend].

To paraphrase a recent contributor...

What in the name of Judas Iscariot's bicycle clips is Claudia wearing tonight?????

Chuck it in the bin love.
Have to agree. You wonder did she wear it as a dare. Surely she did not think that looked good. For a young beautiful and sexy woman, she always dresses so conservatively and usually in drab black.

Thanks for the replies - remember it was particularly romantic and Matt was so sweet to her. Think last week the foxtrots were so different in feeling - like a different dance. After Chris and Ola's rumba in the first week, I feel that I am still waiting for another wow moment this year. But, conversely I am loving ITT.

Apparently when Laila asked what Anton thought they'd get for their Jive, he answered with "late teens". If it doesn't pick up before Sunday, that could be generous...
I'm sure Laila knows Anton is not so hot at Latin as she knew last week he was the tops in ballroom, so how can she have/get confidence in the Jive when the teacher has no love/cofidence in the latin dances. Not so sure how they as a couple stand with the GBP yet, but I think they might do enough to avid the dance off.

Always a good idea to save a bit for emergencies - could live for a week off the things stored between my fronts some days

Are you sure that was a joke?!
A friendly bitchy joke between friends!

I'm not sure yours is a very popular opinion. If Alesha can't dance fast Latin, then I guess no one else in that series could either.
I agree with you Xassy.

I obviously have a little mind then, because I'm impressed
Actually I discovered last night FelineFantastic also came up with Cola and before me, so it must have been telepathy!

Not bad considering she was trying to dance on blocks of wood attached to sharpened chopsticks - how did she even get across to the dancing stage in those shoes - do they put her on a trolley?...

You ITT threaders have an impressive knowledge of all things Strictly so can anyone remind me which dance Alesha and Matt were in when they forgot the steps and both made it up and Alesha was almost crying at the judging as she thought she had messed it up? I think it was ballroom and ALesha had a white free on maybe. Doe sthis ring any bells - been bothering me after Alesha commented on keeping going to one of this year's celebs.

Also, statto man on tonight - anyone else think his laugh at the end was a bit woah slightly scary??
I have no idea at all how Claudia walked anywhere (if she did walk) in those shoes!

Alesha and Matt made up about 15 seconds of their Paso after she forgot the steps - and the judges didn't notice.

I like the stats, but I'm not keen on the stats man.

Thanks Buddy - will check the Paso out but have found out it was their foxtrot from zankoku and the milky bar kid

I live with two stattos (football facts, flags of the world, periodic table, you name it) but they don't tend to laugh like that. Also, couldn't ITT have edited it - hate to think they are exploiting the factually advanced like that!

I wonder when you become factually advanced? I'm posting stats on the judges' scores this year, but I don't remember any of them, so I'm not at that standard yet - or maybe you are born like that?!

I have a colour coded spreadsheet so that I can track progress through the series... is this a symptom of being factually advanced?!

Not sure if it's factually advanced but it sure is impressive!!

There is no chance of me ever being factually advanced - I can barely remember what happened in last weekend's show.

I'm always amazed by what people remember on this forum.

It could be a symptom where as I only use colour when I'm preparing that week's stats, so it is just a tool not a symptom!

Have just got round to watching this evening on iplayer.

@ most of the jives. And a bonus just for how excruciatingly awful Laila and Anton's looks. Ouch.

Ali and Brian's looked promising, but needs a bit more bounce (I really laughed at that section of Ali looking dishevelled and bewildered - why do I suspect that's how she's spent most of the week?), whilst Chris and Ola also looked quite good.

The rest? Oh my...

Well either a corset or two broom handles , one each side , and tied together with a bit of gaffer tape ,Sometimes needs must , and My Lord , in this case needs must
Could not stop laughing at this vision sent me to bed with a smile!!

I do like Jo though very much as a grandmother myself I applaud her efforts and find her partnership with Brendon very enjoyable to watch

I thought she looked like one of the playing cards from Alice in Wonderland.

I really don't think Ian was being bitchy - he was just having a laugh, and I'm sure Laila & Anton took his comments in good spirit.
I heard Laila burst out laughing the background. I have the feeling she's getting to the point of hysterical over the thing. Certianly both her and Anton appear beyond the point of getting depressed over it.

Apparently when Laila asked what Anton thought they'd get for their Jive, he answered with "late teens". If it doesn't pick up before Sunday, that could be generous...
Especially as they'll be dancing it on Saturday.

Hi woo

Waltz & Paso if I'm not mistaken....
Waltz, Paso Doble, Foxtrot...by the end of the series it'll be revealed that Alesha blagged her way through all her dances.

Good show tonight. It's great to have the training clips on a Thursday and by recreating moves from old dances, Len's Masterclass is more bearable now.
