This mellow Brendan malarchey is starting to get on my nerves a bit. I liked the bad boy who gave us a bit of entertainment. Can we please take away his happy pills?
Impressed with Rav last night. ![]() x x x x x |

Impressed with Rav last night. ![]() x x x x x As for Jo, I think she's mothering him, and he's probably a mummy's boy deep inside and enjoys that kind of treatment from Jo. ![]() At least we know he'll still be mad at the judges for slating Jo off. It's something that'll happen again in the coming weeks to be sure. |

As the show went on I think Niles developed into the kind of man many women dream - someone who adores you and all your faults

Every time I see Brian, for some reason I think of the episode when Niles & Daphne Tangoed and then women came up and gave him their phone numbers!
![]() ![]() It is one of my favourite episodes along with the ones covering Daphne's wedding to Donny where they finally run away together! I've got goose bumps now! ![]() OMG! I would LOVE to be Daphne in that red dress and Brian be Niles and recreate that moment (but not with what happens after the clip ends of course!)! ![]() This is it from Series 3 in case anyone hasn't seen it and they even don't get together until Series 7! ![]()

I've never seen this before what happens after the clip ends?
Niles saw a picture in the paper of his ex-wife Maris with another man. He is annoyed at first then his Dad Martin tells him that he should get out a bit more too. So he asks a very rich heiress to the Snow Ball. He then panics when he realises that he can't dance, but Daphne then offers to teach Niles everything he needs to know. Just as soon as Niles is getting into the swing of things his date cancels, but he doesn't want to tell Daphne as he is secretly in love with her and is enjoying dancing with her so much. His Dad knows what is going on and makes Niles tell Daphne his date has cancelled, but then when Daphne suggests she go with Niles to the Ball instead, Niles just can't say no. On the night of the ball Niles is on the point of cancelling using the excuse that Daphne probably doesn't have a suitable dress to wear, so when she appears go to the ball in that stunning red dress it is such a WOW moment! Niles doesn't want anyone to know that Daphne is just his Dad's physical therapist, so she pretends she really is his date for the night getting lots of admiring looks and when the Tango music starts - that's where the clip fits in. After the dance Niles who has just declared his real undying love for Daphne thinks it was real for her too - until she starts talking about how they had everybody fooled. Poor Niles has to pretend he enjoyed fooling everyone too. A couple of attractive women give him their cards asking him to call them, so the night wasn't a total loss but Niles' unrequited love for Daphne continues. ![]() ![]() One of the best episodes ever!

Thanks Buddy - that is so sad, poor Niles. At least they get there in the end though

I am amused how this thread has turned into a mini Niles Crane appreciation thread!

Chris and Ola are lovely together - so glad they got through, even though the dance was a shambles.

Sounds like Aliona could have made the choreography easier.

I disagree with Karen that the Quickstep is the hardest and Paso is the most dificult (in terms of Strictly). If anything previous scores say that exact opposite as Quickstep has received 40s yet the highest Paso score is only 38 with Austin, with Emma and Jill with 37 to follow.

It is one of my favourite episodes along with the ones covering Daphne's wedding to Donny where they finally run away together! I've got goose bumps now!
