So they are.

It just seemed like everyone was doing the Jive, no idea why!

Is it because none of them look that great?

Jive's probably my favourite latin, but I'm not too thrilled by any of what we've seen of them so far. Bring on the WVs, I say!

The VW's even

I'm hoping Chris and Laila can pleasantly surprise us, but I think it's the couples dancing Ballroom that will score highly again.

Anyways, bedtime for me - night folks x

I don't know how someone can earn a living being a horrible every day as that woman (I had to look her up too).

You are right - they are split 5 VW and 7 Jive.

Zan Ricky G is a Jive.

I did wonder if that's because Anton and Laila danced ballroom last week and maybe they were supposed to do Latin. I think three couples last week danced the same discipline last week as the week before, so that's where is became uneven.

I love the VW and the Jive, but the jives are often a bit disappoint for me.

Well, she's made quite a storm. Over 6,000 complaints to the Press Complaints Commission apparently.

I always look forward to seeing the jives and mostly get let down on the night. The one that truly had me was Vincent and Louisa

I am rather surprised by some of the comments here about Ricky's apparent moaning in ITT about his day's work.

He didn't. And Claudia kept banging on about it. I know Claudia seems to take a shine on Ricky, but that's not helping him win any votes. And yes, that lip stick colour is positively frightful. It aged her like 10 years.

Much as I don't really take to Ricky W, I don't think there's anything majorly annoying in their interview segment.

I guess when some of you decided to dislike someone, whatever they do would seem repulsive.

Thanks SCD-Observer as I also thought it was more to do Claudia's questions than Ricky "banging" on about how hard it is. In fact I got the impression R&N preferred talking about the dancing more than how tight their schedule was.

I don't dislike Ricky W, but I did post saying I don't want to hear how his work impacts on the amount of time he can train for SCD. Last week we saw Ricky reading his script in the training room and Natalie saying he is learning his lines every time they stop dancing and she was worried about their performance. Sure enough the lack of training showed in their Salsa and was picked up by the judges. He is a great dancer and could have been better last week if he had trained more. When a celeb signs up for SCD I expect that to be their priority, not other commitments. When they are on SCD - that's their job. If they are doing other work, fair enough, but don't make that into a reason for not spending enough time in the training room. If that's unreasonable than so be it. All I think about when a celeb has major work commitments like Ricky, is who else could we have had who would have given more time to SCD? I was just as vocal about Gary Rhodes last year and there have been others in the past, so it is nothing personal towards Ricky W. I want to see him dance to the best of his ability on SCD, not do what he can because he is still filming Hollyoaks.

It's gonna happen a lot I would reckon until they get to the mixture of dances stage - depends on which discipline the previous week's eliminated couple danced?

Hi Bud, I hear what you're saying but, then Natalie did say that she would much prefer 2 hours quality time in the studio than 6 hours faffing around (owte). Sometimes I do think we're guilty of believing because someone's spent x amount of time training it means that they are working harder and taking it more seriously than someone only doing y amount.

I also wonder if Ricky is doing so well because he HAS to focus on the dancing and therefore doesn't have the luxury of staging a showmance to go alongside a routine, or worry about nerves. It may also be the reason for his apparent "businesslike" approach to the show and as a result his so called lack of a personality. I do agree with you about Gary Rhodes but, it's hardly a fair comparison because Gary obviously wasn't as committed as Ricky, and Karen as good as said as much. Natalie on the other hand has nothing but, praise for the effort Ricky is putting into the routines. Who knows if he would be better with more practice but, at the moment I think he's doing just fine.

That's a really good point - I never thought about that before and could be the answer.

Laura I understand what you are saying and agree with you. I do think that Ricky can get away with much less training time than other celebs, because he has such fabulous natural ability. I also thought Ricky and Natalie came across really well last night, and I warmed to both of them more (I have never disliked them, but you know what I mean). I don't doubt his dedication one bit, but I just don't like the main focus being on the lack of time he has to train, because of his other work commitments. A lot of the VT coverage this week and especially last week was about this, and this may well be down to the BBC, but Ricky and Natalie are playing along. I just don't like it, especially from the most able couple in the competition. I would say this about any couple and if it puts my point in perspective, I would just add that nearer the end of the series if my favourite wasn't still in the competition I can see me voting for Ricky and Natalie.

Well, Buddy, Ricky doesn't have the charm of Gethin Jones, for when he was asked the same question about him being busy with this or that he said something like, "Stop, everyone's in the same boat! Can't complain!" Very diplomatic, while at the same time acknowledging he was juggling both SCD and his other committments. He was the clever boy, whereas Ricky W (as well as Chris Hollins when he was asked similar questions before by Claudia) just 'went along with it'.

Irony is, I read here that some said they don't mind hearing how Chris spends his day, and could even empathise with his gruelling schedule, while at the same time, Ricky was shred into pieces for the same.

Well, I reckon when you like someone, you naturally won't find them repulsive, even when they are shown taking a poo in the toilet.

LOL! I must admit I let Chris off because he gets up at 4.20am, but apart from the end bit of that VT there has been no focus on his workload. And yes, I am voting from Chris, but I might move over to Ricky W, if Chris goes out (it will depend on who else is left!).

PS I could see some charm in Ricky last night!

I thought Ricky and Natalie came accross very well last night.

I do agree that Claudia keeps banging on about Ricky's workload so he has to answer that one. I do like Cludia but she can be a bit repetive in her interviews etc.

I can only admire Ricky more if he can put in a 12 hour day on Hollyoaks and dance the way he does. Good luck to them tonight and everyone dancing.

I hope to be thrilled several times tonight (by the dancing that is ), and as two of my favourite dances are the VW and the jive I can't wait!
