It's quite easy to predict the potential winners, simply name those acts who have had that major big push this year. So therefore...
Pixie Lott Little Boots La Roux Lady GaGa Alex Burke JLS ...will probably pick up an award or two. |

JLS will will best group
Gaga for international Pixie for best female artist but i wouldn't be suprised to see Little boots. What i have noticed with this award is that it's usually people you wouldn't think. Like how Leona lost it to the Kate Nash. Although Lily Allern deserves it more overall. JLS or Leona may win best single. Daniel merriweather for best international male. Shame he aint british because he should so deserve british male. |

Definitely Robbie Williams. The Brits Panel love him and suck up to him as much as they can. They'll probably award him best album and best British male artist. In fact ... if they could ... they'd give him the best band and best female award too.
Would love the Arctic Monkeys to win best album but with Williams back on the scene I don't think they stand a chance. They may get best band though. |

JLS will win any awards voted for by the public, I think.
Little Boots, La Roux, Pixie Lott and Lady GaGa are almost certain to come away with awards. Lily Allen too. Alexandra and Leona will be nominated for awards and not win any, because in the public voted awards they'll probably be up against JLS. And any awards not voted for by the public, they'll give the award to someone "credible" like Little Boots or La Roux. |

Anyone from the X Factor, Simon Cowell will make sure they win. It's mostly fixed behind the scenes...all nominees/winners are decided by industry insiders.

Lily Allen, despite the hate for her right now, her latest album is the biggest selling British female this year. I'm sure it will garner some nominations.

Florence + The Machine is probably going to get nominated for Best Female and Best Album at least and it wouldn't surprise me if she took away both.
Do the Brits have a Best New Artist category or am I thinking of the Grammys? :x |

As much as i want Lily to win, her having a best selling album does not automatically mean she will win at all.
I think there is a best newcomer award. |

There's that award where they tell you which Brit school graduate they have decided to hype into the charts for the next year, don't know if it's called newcomer or not.
Who get's the lifetime achievement award? In other words, which artist/group has been around for at least ten years and has a new album or greatest hits out in February/March? |

Isn't it the critics award? The one Adele and Florence both won.

Okay, I've given this more thought than is neccessary
![]() British male solo artist: Nominations possibly 5 out of Mika/Robbie/Dizzee Rascal/Calvin Harris/Taio Cruz/Tinchy Strider/Paolo Nutini maybe Mark Knopfler for the obligatory "older" nomination - reckon Dizzee Rascal or Mika will take it British female solo artist: Pixie Lott/Lily Allen/Little Boots/Alexandra Burke and possibly Speech Debelle after the Mercurys. Reckon Lily will win it British group: Any out of Muse/Take That/Arctic Monkeys/Florence & The Machine/La Roux/White Lies/Kasabian British single: Usually have a list of 10, but considering its a public vote, I reckon the winner will be JLS - Beat Again British album: Probably the same nominees as Best Group British breakthrough act: Florence & the Machine/La Roux/JLS/Pixie Lott/White Lies - could be any of them British live act: Will probably go to Muse or Take That, but Blur could get a nomination? International male solo artist: Jay Z/Eminem/Bruce Springsteen/Bob Dylan/Daniel Merriweather International female solo artist: Lady Gaga/Madonna/Taylor Swift/Shakira/Keri Hilson/Beyonce - probably a cert for Lady Gaga though International group: Greenday/U2/Black Eyed Peas.... International album: Will probably be won by Greenday or U2 Outstanding contribution to music: Reckon they'll give it to Michael Jackson |
