Ah, MAC. We have a love/hate relationship.
Some things I buy from there are outstanding, and other times, I despise having paid so much for a product you could walk into Superdrug and get. I've never really had any problems with their StudioFix foundation, like some other posters, but the lady in the Grand Central Station one seemed to think I was tangerine coloured (I assure you, I am not) and so now it sits unloved at the bottom of my make up case. The blushes are wonderful (I am a die-hard fan of 'Dame', which I hear Dita VT uses), and their eyeshadows are very pigmented and blendable. Don't buy their eyeshadow base, though, any colours will crease within two hours and it makes my eyelids rather oily. The best out there is still Urban Decay Primer Potion. |

I adore Mac! I love experimenting with make up- I'm what people would call 'alternative'- cringe- so Mac serves me well! I always use StudioFix, but in the lightest shade, as I prefer pale skin to the bronzed/orange look. Factor 50 all the way! I also use the Mineralize powder on top of this. My favourites are the gel eyeliners (easiest way to smoky eyes!) the eyeshadows and Liquidlast has the most staying power of an eyeliner I've ever witnessed!
The other brands I like are Chanel, Benefit, Urban Decay and Illamasqua! I urge anyone who has not tried Illamasqua yet to stock up- a great relatively new British make up brand, with brilliant multi purpose coloured pencils. |

Mac do a holiday collection of brush sets, they're travel sized but they're pretty good. This site has brush sets sometimes too http://www.love-makeup.co.uk/brushestoolsbags-c-16.htmlHope that helps

I do love MAC makeup, and I can never walk past a MAC make-up counter
, but they release sooo many collections, about three a month, and considering the prices, it's hard to keep up.

I really like Mac makeup but it is quite expensive. I have loads of eye shadows which are really nice and their brushes are very good.

I've tried their Select SPF 15 foundation - and love it! It's water-based and I never have to re-apply it throughout the day.

Got a blush a few days ago in "Desert Rose" and am really impressed. Lasts all day, nice colour. Also packaged well and doesn't go everywhere unlike some of the cheap blushes.

I definitely think, depending on what product you're going for MAC is worth the money. I personally love pigments, and I think the price is a bargain to be completely honest, for the quality and amount of product you're getting.

I am a fan of mac make up, so when I can afford it I do try and buy things from there. I also use the StudioFix foundation and have never had any problems with it, I have used the StudioSculpt in the past but I definitely prefer StudioFix.
I also love their eyeshadows and their lipsticks/lip glosses - I think the lipsticks are really well pigmented which is good. |
