It was an odd comment for Anton to make (and not a very funny one) but he's no racist!

Just not as amusing as he intends to me sometimes.

Editing following subsequent posts. If he has used the P word, that's a different matter. I can't believe he'd be silly enough to do so and I'd be less inclined to sweep it under the carpet if it's true. It's not on really.

He called her the P*** word off camera in relation to her tan. Story in tomorrows NOTW. He has said sorry, shes accepted, but he will be lucky to keep his job.

I'm more concerned about the pic of those two girls of that pedo woman. I know it's really off topic but why do they need to be pictured.

I cant believe he has done this. I know Anton is a bit of a buffoon but surely even he knows you cant use the P word anymore, especially when referring to an Asian person. Its bad enough that he said she looked like a terrorist. He could get sacked over this. The BBC really takes a dim view of racist language.

I think there's a difference here between racism and ignorance/poor taste. It's not polite or politically correct to make fun of someone's heritage, but it seems to me he was just trying (and failing) to be funny.

I agree. I dont think he's racist at all, but its pretty bad form from him. It certainly shows how ignorant he is.

All those Hole In The Wall shows Anton is doing are giving him a hole in the head.

Would be lying if I said I don't care, these are my favourites this year but it looks like it's blown over, hopefully Anton would have learnt a lesson and they will carry on there routines

I think Laila should be given the chance to dance with someone else if she wants. It seems she has let it go, but that may be for the sake of staying in the show. The BBC should make sure she is happy to continue with Anton after those two comments. Legally I think they have a duty of care towards Laila which should extend to making sure she doesn't feel forced to work with someone who is making racist comments to her.

It may not have been racist in intent, but it is absolutely not acceptable to use that word.
It is certainly a bizarre sentence! It almost reads- Jade was racist/ignorant, and then she died! Watch out Anton!
