Dumping Anton from his show suggests he has been replaced. This is not the case, the BBC have chosen not to commission the show.

It seems you are assuming this is because of his foot in mouth tendency - have you any evidence to back up your theory.

Perhaps he doesn't want to lose his job ? The assumption might be that he immediately "took the blame" and then it snowballed from there via the press and "sources". It is claimed that he initially made the "terrorist" remark - which is a bit rude and crass, IMO.

There is no way that Anton would fall on his sword, and watch his career go down the swanee, to protect Laila.

No and if he were to be sacked that would cost the BBC a lot with or without an unfair dismissal court case but if he were not to come back for the next series for "other reasons" it would be far better all round.

Has it occured to you that you are being over sensitive when you assume the BBC have not commisioned his show because he has a tendency to call ethnic minority parnters names? After all this is the BBC that likes to invite the BNP on to its programs as it increases the audience figures and this week has said their leader will be appearing on other shows in future - obviosuly due to the success of his first screening. And this is the same BBC that said Anton had their complete backing.

Why not? The public seem to like his antics and think putting down his partner and blaming any mistakes on her makes him a fun personality. Just cos he also can't dance half the dances and is unprofessional does'n't mean that people wouldn't line up to be paired with him - obviously just not Asians of course.

i think he should be...i think the show would lose a lot if anton wasnt on it. he may not be outstanding at latin. but he is the best there at ballroom and is frankly a joy to watch.

Is this forum really the best place you could find for your crusade? I would have thought you'd find more a receptive audience if you got out from behind your computer and into the real world - assuming of course that you're not just spouting empty rhetoric into the ether.
