OOhhh looking to the future, if Natalie and Vincent make it to the final, now that will be a showdance to look forward to. Not criticising her dancing (she's ok) but the lifts could prove interesting! Maybe she could hoist Vincent aloft in a new twist ?

Mamma I avoided coming on this threas so far, because I haven't recovered yet from the L&B showdance and I wasn't sure I could cope!

I don't normally criticise Bruce because there are enough folk on here to do that job, but his rendition of 'Satisfaction' was about 7 on the cringe-ometer for me. What on earth was he thinking about? At the time I thought "Is he ad-libbing?"

But I have to admit that Tess 'Foot in Mouth' Daly makes me cringe at least once every week by saying something stupid to somebody in the Red Room. I'd love to know what everyone else on the show thinks of Tess, as we are always hearing how much they all love Bruce, but no one says the same about Tess.

I have never forgiven Tess for giving Flavia the old 'nudge nudge' routine over her and Matt DA - when she was still with Vincent!

She seemed particularly rubbish last night - she doesn't seem to get irony and her remarks just make me see 8 on the LSD cringe-ometer!

I'm girding up my loins to watch the showdance again!

Evenin' Mama, evenin' Buddy!

I've never forgiven Tess full stop. I don't care if that makes no sense, I just can't be doing with her!

AND she lies about her name. Hmph!

Evening young Zan!

How does the wretched Tess lie about her name???

Well, her name's Helen for a start!

I imagine there's a reason why she's called Tess, but apparently, she was christened Helen Elizabeth Daly.

I didn't until I decided to look her up. I'd have thought it'd've come up here before - what with someone bringing up Tony Beke at least once a series!

Oh, don't talk to me about HIM! After today's revelations - I can't be doing with him!

I've been avoiding that thread because I really don't want to get involved in the whole thing.

Sigh. Remember when Strictly was fun?

It's almost like it's too popular now - and we know every tiny little detail about everyone and everything.

A bit like BB - remember the first series of that when the contestants didn't even know if anyone was watching? Now everyone knows how to play the game.

And with SCD - there's always a romance, an injury, a cat-fight, a scandal, a journey...

When all we want to see is some people who can't dance getting better at it.

And I love the pros so much - but they seem worse than the celebs sometimes - I guess they ARE celebs now!

I didn't know that about Tess either!

The last few posts on that thread are very interesting - worth a look. It seems the NOTW may have struck again.

Hey Buddy. I'm glad you've pointed that out...

I had a feeling that there wasn't something quite right with that article - mainly because of how long it took for it to come out if it was two weeks ago (and therefore before Laila & Anton's first dance!).

Aliona and Rav's dance was so so cringey BUT Alesha's comment to Aliona about the choreography was about a 6 for me

No problem. When the Red Tops are involved I always have reservations.

Another person that scores highly on the cringe-ometer for me is Dom Littlewood. I think I hated every minute he was on the show.

Things I cringed at in last night's show:

Len talking about what's been in the newspapers with Ali & Brian - 6
Joe's outfit - 7
Rav - 8
James Jordan's facial hair - 6

Thanks from me to. This is currently being discussed in depth on Radio 5 at the moment.

Red tops - and depressingly it's the "proper" papers more and more these days, too. The press in this country really needs sorting out.

Was it strictly that had children ballroom dancers on once. If so then those kids make me cringe more than even Sack of Potatoes Snowdon.

Thank you SO MUCH Seaside Lady - I'd never seen the version with words before and just watched it. Yes, I choked on my cake and crumbs went everywhere, but it was worht it - some of the comments are hilar. From Lisa's little hooves to the "now know Lisa's anatomy better than my own" - classic.

The presenter Stephen Nolan had trouble making sure the callers actually knew the actual facts before they made their comments, as it was clear many of them didn't.

I did think the children last night were all given lines to say!

Hi Buddybon - the only thing that kept me awake (for fear of falling asleep and dreaming I WAS Karen Hardy) was Gary Rhodes "drumming" on her back. Now, that is off the cringeometer surely. It might even be on the vomometer. Never have I seen anything so tacky.

Good God. I had managed to repress that. Thanks.

I was just about to mention that!

I think that finished Karen off! From Ramps to THAT!?!?!
