Folks,

i've been trying to find a Blackberry 8900 on Orange PAYG - but just can't track any down - neither the web site or the 8+ Orange shops i have phoned have any stock.

I wanted one for my wife's birthday present, but i can't track one down for love nor money.

Any one know what is going on at the moment?

Just low stock at the moment - our next delivery is scheduled for the WC 5th October, so after building and testing it would probably be available sometime WC 12th October.

Retail stock is a separate deal tho, I can't offer any update on that.

Thank you- i was getting worried would not be able to get one in time.

i have another couple questions : -
Is it £5 a month for blackberry email - does that include Web browsing & facebook uasage as well ( she loves Facebook)!!.

Also if she tops up £10 a month on Dolphin would that get her 300 text a month and also cover the bb charrge as well?

I phoned Orange CS today to see if the Curve 8900 was back in stock yet. Was told there is no intention to re-stock this model (discountined) and was told to go for the 8520.

Does anyone know if this is correct, as per the second post it sounded promosing that they would come back but know i'm not sure what to do

Help!!!!!!

I'm not at work till Thursday so can't confirm this one way or another I'm afraid. But CS are not always kept upto date with regards to these issue. Sales are the best people to ask, and use the web. If the web shows out of stock, it will be back. They would remove it if discontinued.

The £5 BlackBerry bundle is unlimited internet & email. I'm not sure excatly how the PAYG tarrifs work on BlackBerry tho with regards to topping up, but I believe you are correct in your reasoning.

Thats odd, I just got my new Curve 8900. I am on a monthly contract though.
It was saying out of stock on the orange website though, so I phoned up to see and the lady I spoke to said yes, we have them in stock. I am now clutching it in my hands, and trying to work out how to use it!

PAYM and PAYG are separate allocation, they are built differently which means they can't be swapped over easily.

when i want into a shop they thought that a 8900 on contract might go through a PAYG - but it did not work.)

I did notice the 8520 was avalible but the wife liked the 8900 (as is the way)

What i did notice is the 8520 is cheaper in store (bluewater) than online which i thought was strange.....

Thanks for your help on this Lawe13, would love to know if i'm on a wild goose chase and should just go for thr 8520.......
