Tracks missing from greatest Hits albums
REM's greatest hits did not have Shiney Happy People
Kylie's greatest hits never had Some Kind Of Bliss Will Young's upcoming greatest Hits lacks the long and winding Road. Madonna Celebration does not have "true Blue" You wonder why they don't just make space for the 2 or 3 extra tracks The only thing better than a greatest hits is the complete set on i-tunes. I downloaded the spice girls complete set and theres about 40 songs on it! |

Kylie's ''Ultimate'' misses off Hand On Your Heart which is one of her best iconic!
![]() And I won't even get started on Madonna's Celebration. Nevermind about True Blue being absent. What about Rain, Bad Girl, Deeper & Deeper ect. She could have fitted an extra 17 tracks on her GH!! |

Excuse my ignorance...but that's the only Bjork song I've heard of...I thought that was her most famous one.

There was a vote on her website, and It's Oh So Quiet didn't get on.

The reason it never made it onto the greatest hits, as LTG2201 said, is because the greatest hits was made up of a web vote, and obviously the fans never voted this one on. She has so many more singles but I guess is unlucky to be known by most as "the one who sand It's Oh So Quiet". It's a good song, but she has a lot better. Anyway... Greatest Hits are always different depending on who puts them together. If it's the record label then it's usually the most popular ones. If it's the band then it's usually the ones they think are best. If it's the fan vote then I guess this is the only true way of showing what people like best. Some acts would probably have enough hits to fit onto 3 or 4 CDs but that just gets silly so they choose (pardon the phrase!) the best of the best. |

It's Oh So Quiet wasn't actually her song. It was a cover of "Blow a Fuse" by Betty Hutton.

R.E.M understandably loathed 'Shiny Happy People' which is why it wasn't on their Greatest Hits.

I've also thought of Robbies GH, it misses off Something Beautiful which is strange seeing as it's one of the highest charters from Escapology ![]() Janets Design of a Decade also missed off loads of tracks from her 'janet.' album Shania Twain left 'Thank You Baby' off hers, thats one of my all time favourite Shania track, i was devestated!!

ABBA Gold is missing "Summer Night City", one of their best 'disco era' hits. And "The Day Before You Came", one of their favourites with fans and critics.
Yet "Thank for the music" is on Gold despite never even being a single while the group were still going. Lots of their other hits are on "More Gold" ... |

Christina Aguilera's greatest hits does not include her collaboration with Lil kym even though it was more successful then songs that were included such as I Turn to you and her crap duet with Ricky Martin.
Britney spears's upcoming greatest hits misses out a couple of good songs. Madonna's latest greatest hits is missing a number of good songs Sugababes's greatest hits album misses out a couple of songs from their first album. |

A lot was said of the Oasis best of, the problem was that you could fit like five CDs and still miss out. Noel said he didn't want to do three because they weren't big enough. :P.

Pet Shop Boys "Discography" omitted "How Can You Expect to Be Taken Seriously?" (double A side with "Where The Streets Have No Name") which was also omitted from "Pop Art" (the second greatest hits), along with "Was It Worth It?" (because it wasn't a top 20 single).

It's also not a "Greatest Hits" - it's a "The Best Of" - there is a difference.
