Apologies if there has been a post on this already....

On JLS

According to Heatworld, that little trio ‘from the block’ have take a slight poke in the direction of our faves JLS after Dappy commented; “I’ve got nothing against them [JLS], but at the end of the day they’re a manufactured band. I just think it’s different to us, who have worked our bollocks off. I spent years writing lyrics in my bedroom with no one hearing. Now people are singing them back to me. JLS don’t know what that’s like.”

Dappy denied that he had anything against artists born from reality shows like The X Factor, but then added about JLS, “They just sing other people’s songs – and they were miming.” Err, it doesn’t sound like you’ve got nothing against them to me mate, or maybe you’re just a tad jealous?

On La Roux
Following their Mobo wins on Wednesday night, for best UK act and best album, Tulisa from N-Dubz attempted to put the 80s-inspired singer in her place.

"She's obviously one of those girls at school who got no love," she said.

"She's bitter. That's all it is. She's hating on pretty girls, people that like to dance nice in their videos and have got talent.
La Roux La Roux said Tinchy Stryder didn't deserve the praise he was getting

"She's just a hater man, shut up! Look at yourself in the mirror. Good people in life don't judge other people."

I'm on team JLS and team La Roux on this one.

What bloody hypocrites they are. They can't slate people for slating people

To be fair to N-Dubz (not that I particularly want to defend them); there was a clip of them backstage at the MOBOs with JLS and Dappy genuinely seemed to have no problems with them. I disagree with most of what he said (he obviously doesn't know the background of the boys, particularly Oritse who worked very hard on getting the band together & making them good enough to be a success on X Factor); but even as a huge JLS fan, I agree with him on the miming. They really need to stop that.

As for La Roux, I don't agree with most of what they've said about her, but she gives it out too much for me to want to defend her.

I like the way the first thing she jumps on is how La Roux must be jealous because Tulisa is obviously the most gorgeous creature to walk the earth... (!). lol

But then, when you're in a band where one member says on Never Mind the Buzzcocks that he'd like to "bash her [Jessica Simpsons] back doors in", says a whole lot about what kind of people they are.

He wasn't saying that about himself, he was joking that the other person in the video was thinking that.
I don't know why I keep defending N-Dubz, but I watched that episode the other day to see them rip the piss out of Dappy

Simon Amstell was so funny in that episode Well hes funny in all the episodes he was presenting but particularly that one. The one with Anthony Costa is my other fave, Anthony totally rips the piss out of himself and has great banter with Simon!!

It's just a bit of PR to get people talking about them (which has worked) and to ultimately shift more units of whatever godawful single/album they're releasing in the next few weeks.

"hating on", "dance nice", "hater, man".

Even if La Roux woman is a moaning pain in the arse, at least she can speak properly.

JLS are rubbish though, miming all the time and La Roux is a silly fool who slates those better than her. Still, these morons aren't any better.

They are right though. How can JLS collect an award for best song for Beat Again when they didn't even write it?

Or at least perform it live at the awards ceremony.

Elly's on a learning curve with regards to giving interview me thinks, it was one quote taken out of context.

She's right in what she said i mean, GM writing Careless Whisper aged 17 vs what U20s nowadays are getting to number one with are poles apart but having said that times have changed and you can't really compare like for like.

Elly was right in what she was trying to say but she shouldn't have named names. Duh Elly

Regardless or not whether they are right, the fact that it comes from THEM is enough to make it a joke. Seriously, I have struggled to like ANY of their material so far. Everything they do seems to sound the same as the previous and none of it good.

I kind of agree about JLS, but tbh N-Dubz are a chavvy band but sell alot if records

the La Roux comment is pretty harsh

I wish all these prentious little ***ts would shut up giving us their opinions on everything and everyone. They're all a bunch of annoying hypocrits using each other for free publicity but no doubt would be kissing each others asses if that would get them noticed as well.

i'm not a fan of N-Dubz, but i think they are right on both counts here.

JLS are a prime example of a packaged, manufactured boyband aimed at 10-year-olds. they've had it incredibly easy, getting their fame from x factor, singing other people's songs (or should i say miming) and being given the most ludicrous amount of airplay and promotion. and by having an image that targets young girls, they've taken the easiest route to commercial success possible. i'm not saying i hate bands who don't write their own stuff but JLS have had it so easy it's unreal.

and Elly from La Roux should just keep her big mouth shut! she's just asking for (even more) hate by saying all the judgemental things she says about other artists' music. i'm a fan of La Roux, but there are many who dislike their music, and it's not as if Elly (or indeed anyone) is in a position to judge what music people should be buying.

I totally agree with N-Dubz here.

The UK music industry would be far better off without JLS, whose success has had nothing to do with hard work. It's been handed to them on a plate. And that bitter girl from La Roux is awful, she keeps taking a pop at many people, when she's not all that herself.....a taste of her own medicine methinks is well deserved.

Im not a fan of JLS but I'd rather listen to them 'miming other peoples songs' all day long than listen to a second of N dubs Gibbering.

So they slate La Roux for slating other artists... Now what's that word I'm looking for? Anyone?

I find it hilarious that "Dappy" from the sensational (not) N-Dubz is having a go at anyone.
